Personal History Jung Tae-yoon was born in 2365 on Earth. He is from Korea on Earth and as such considering he came from a military family that could trace its heritage back through the Federations' history, back through the third world war, all the way to the Japanese annexation of Korea at the beginning of the 20th Century.

He was from a small town just outside Seoul, pronounced 'Soul' and as such he learned to fly at a very young age, he soloed before he became a teenager and while his skills developed quickly, fueled by his massive ego. he Always seemed to bring his Bird home.

He missed the Dominion War where his father got to make a name for himself with over forty kills, something that made him proud to be his fathers son.

Jung went onto the academy first chance he got and while he did well, flying was all he ever wanted to do so he heap[ed extra coursework in flight training, aeronautics and the like. Graduating near the top of his class four years later.

He was assigned to the USS Akitsuki, deliberately avoiding the more choice assignments that he could have picked, he served well here distinguishing himself several times, earning a promotion and two medals. The first was for bravery in the face of the enemy and the second was for conspicuous heroism and exceptional flying capability.

His second assignment saw him carry on his family tradition, fully cementing his reputation as an outstanding fighter pilot. He was promoted to Squadron Commander and while at times the assignment was dull, it meant he could teach and train others to fly as he did.

His third assignment is the one Jung has the most trepidation about, he was transferred and assigned as Commander of the Number Two Squadron aboard the USS Argonne. A ship with something of a black reputation aboard ship. When he heard who the Wing Commander was, he almost refused to accept the assignment. Nevertheless, Jung would accept his assignment, even if he hated it and he was determined to hate it. However, this began to change when he was promoted to replace Sergeyev as the Wing Commander of this ship.

Jung had resigned himself to the role of a beaten man, hiding in the sanctuary of his work so he had made himself indispensable to everyone around him, this work ethic had netted him the wing commanders job and it also had opened his eyes to what was before him.
