Her father, Gunther Werner, didn't know she existed and thought Bianca had been killed. Life in the camp was difficult, especially with a young child. Bianca eventually found a man interested in her. A merchant named Gorko. Gorko abused Bianca and Tamara. As Bianca was a refugee, she had little recourse other than to tolerate it. Tamara, at age thirteen, ran away from home. She lived on the streets of Rekata City. She did odd and illegal jobs to survive. For a short time she even lived with an older man. When she was seventeen, she enlisted in the Star Fleet Marines. |
