| Personal History | Shorin was the victim of a rather cruel universal joke, her parents had a falling out while she was a child which never cleared and led to her parents separating. She ended up blaming herself and as a result, she became very aloof and very anti-social. Shorin was born in 2363 while Sherrin was born in 2369 In the middle of the chaos, her younger sister Sherrin was born and thankfully it was all said and done before Sherrin was a year old so it didn't affect her, she just grew up not knowing who her father was and while she would not have her siblings issues, she would have her own set of issues to deal with as she grew up. Both girls went off to live with their mother who had managed to keep custody of her daughters and while Shori did a good job of raising her two girls, the issues the three of them had remained so she made the choice to join Starfleet to make peace with herself and find something out there that she never had in her childhood. Gal'jaridd joined Starfleet in 2380 and went off to Vega rather than do her course studies on Bolarius as she wanted to be away from home, she never desired to return and it was here she met her father for the first time since she was a little girl. The encounter was anything but pleasant for the both of them except Shorin was able to say what she wanted, once all was said and done, she forbade him from ever contacting her ever again. Other then that her time at the academy was relatively uneventful and her first assignment, was more of the same. Gal'jaridd's second assignment was interesting but she was offered to go to the Enterprise-E on a temp assignment which turned into a two-year tour. She loved being here but she knew it couldn't last. Gal'jaridd was transferred almost against her will to the much older USS Phoenix, now this was a temp assignment lasting nine months but before she could go back to the Enterprise, she was offered an assignment on the USS Dreamcrusher as one of their medical personnel. Shorin had never served on a Guardian class starship before so she accepted and off she went, her service on the Dreamcrusher has proven that she is capable, she has begun to unwind while serving here and working with Celeste Yamaguchi has assisted her in various ways with her issues. Gal'jaridd was then promoted to become her own boss and the assignment to the Manticore was one she quickly found she could enjoy greatly, she has settled in nicely to her posting. |
