| Personal History | Stephen Franklin is not a hard man to deal with in that he is a workaholic, her personal life is empty but he makes up for it with work. Born in 2363, he is the elder of two children, his sister Ricki came along a couple of years later, he would grow up happy and loved but he never seemed to really fit in, he and his father had a major falling out with his other getting involved and taking her husbands side of the matter after a medical malpractice case which Stephen had no part in, but it was the fact that his name was brought up as a witness which is what led to his father turning on him. His time at the academy was rather uneventful as he found he enjoyed working on whatever he was doing and ignoring all else in his life. His assignment at Starbase 12 was a simple continuation of this policy as he ignored his family, regarding them as less then dirt in his opinion, his father was just as stubborn for the same reasons. He was posted to the USS Fredericton was more of the same, he earned a promotion and by this point had garnered much respect for himself but his personal life was still empty of anything, due to an incident in which he was forced to assume command of the Fredericton as a result of a mission going sideways, he was judged to be the perfect choice for the assignment to the USS Pinto when she became available. His assignment to the USS Pinto has been more interesting than the usual as his skipper, a woman named Felicity Harp refused to let his issues go whereas his previous skippers didn't seem to mind or to care, she simply told him to work on it, not resolve it which he was fine with as she wanted a second officer who was more than just spit and polish. This was something that Franklin was fine with. His time on the Pinto was fine at first but when she went into an alternate reality thanks to a weapons test, his life turned into a living hell. He was recovered along with several others by a Federation force but was driven away when their presence drew a response from the natives. After a period of rest and recovery, he is ready for his next posting. |
