| Personal History | Lieutenant Mav'a Tiris was born in 2365 and unfortunately, disaster was to strike her family easily and often, the first big one was the death of her mother at Wolf 359 before Mav'a was even two years of age. Shyonaxa was aboard the USS Goodson and this was what drove the young Bolian to chase a life of vengeance. She attended several martial arts classes while growing up and she come to love the martial arts, forging herself into a weapon as she climbed the belts ladder system When she entered her teen years, she developed into a rather lovely looking beauty but the was the darkness in her eyes as she diversified into another three types of martial arts, including a Klingon class. When the time came, she went to the academy and went into Security. She joined up as a security officer wanting to escape operations and be challenged by something she isn’t all that familiar with. Mav'a wasn’t a star recruit at basic, but did pick up most things with ease; phaser rifles, phasers, running, climbing, EVA and zero-G movement came naturally to her. She had no real trouble learning starships operations such as; communications, LCARS operation, and scanners as she’d grown up on starships her entire life prior to joining Starfleet. Out of all the classes it was Starfleet Hand to Hand combat where she really shined. Following completion of basic training she was sent to Starfleet Security School for six weeks to undergo department specialization training. Security School wasn’t too difficult, a few courses on rules and regulations, more Hand to Hand combat classes, instruction on driving the Argo Buggy and the use of its Type-IV Phaser Canon. She graduated with honors before being assigned to the USS Braunschweig The Braunschweig was an interesting assignment and she learned a great deal in a short space of time, especially on dealing with people, something she's struggled with in the past. Her service record before joining the Roanoke was one of almost constant success, anyone sh was sent to apprehend, she succeeded in taking down, this was what lead her to being assigned to the USS Roanoke because of the need for skilled people to fill out her roster in the wake of the hanger deck disaster. |
