Mission: Mission 16: Hoist the Colours
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 2100Hrs, December 11th, 2390

Music Soundtrack: Pirates of the Caribbean 3: What Shall we Die for?"

Master Chief Petty Officer Stephen 'Orthos' McKnight sighed softly, as he walked down the hallway, PADD in hand as he was eager to spend a little time with Daisy, he'd only just found her again and he wanted to rekindle their relationship.

The PADD was about some paperwork which was due the next day as the USS Roanoke had only left the spacedock a few hours ago and she was now under her own power heading to her assignment area.

He reached his destination and he tapped the door chime.

"Enter!" Daisy yelled. The weak sound of Bach could be heard from her chamber.

The door opened and in cane Orthos. "Hey Daisy.... Work stressing you out.... long days at the office?" he inquired. "Dealing with sex slave scandals?"

"Oh, hello." Daisy smiled as Orthos came in. "Funny, I'm glad your taking it well. I have no doubt your could have crushed that little pervert into a mushy paste."

"Oh I'd like to but... I know better then to deprive you of that honor...." he responded as he gently kissed her on the lips. "I've seen you angry... Never wise to piss you off.." he grinned at her. "Besides... I know Torilla is dealing with him... and she's more evil then most women I know...."

"Yes, I like Torilla but she worries me." Daisy admitted. "I'm glad I stay on her good side."

"You eaten yet?" Orthos asked her. "Well.. I am here to escort you to dinner my lady.." he addressed her very formally. "That is... if you will consent to dining with me this fine evening.... well as fine as it gets on the Roanoke.." he then grinned at her.

Daisy raised her eyebrows. "Oh, still the romantic. That's what I love about you Orthos, you know how to treat a women."

Orthos grinned at her. "Of course." he responded. "Shall we?"

Daisy grabbed and crossed arms with Orthos. "Yes, please lead on good Sir."

"Normally I protest about being called sir." but then he kissed her on the cheek. "I'll make an exception." and with that he led her out the door and down the hall, their next stop was the Green Dragon.

"I could go for some warnog. The replicator stuff just tastes bad." Daisy told Orthos. "A man with class such as yourself already knows that, I'd imagine."

"Oh but I do...." Orthos responded. "You drink Warnog with just about everything..." he added.

Daisy giggled. "I only drink warnog for special occasions." Daisy shot back. "I consider out time together special. Normally I just drink green tea."

"You've evolved your tastes I see.." Orthos smiled. "Sounds good to me.." and with that they reached their destination.

Daisy turned to Orthos "I hope there aren't too many fights tonight. I'd like to relax."

"That makes two of us... lets go over into the corner." Orthos commented with a smile. "So if one does start... we should be out of the way."

"You are wise Orthos. No with any brains will cross you. Please, lead on." Daisy told him.

"Nobody who is smart you mean." he grinned at her as they reached their table. "So what will you have?"

"I'm thinking something different, maybe pasta?" Daisy answered. "What about you?"

"A chicken pot pie.." he responded with a smile. "i'll be right back." went over to the replicator, ordered their dishes with drinks and then came back. "Lets eat... and as for Torilla... I wouldn't worry about her.." he commented. "do you think she'll hit you or something?"

"I'm sure she wouldn't do that." Daisy smiled. "Her methods are a bit," Daisy stopped to look for the word "unorthodox."

"She won't hit you..." Orthos reassured her with a smile. "She'll strangle you from across the room." he then grinned at her. "like she did to the pervert, thats why I'm not worried about it... because I';m letting her handle it"

"Yes, Torilla is something else." Daisy agreed. "I think I will have pasta."

Orthos placed the plates on the table, her plate was a pasta casserole with her warnog as he sat down before his own platefull of food.

"Seems to be quiet here tonight. You picked a good night." Daisy told Orthos.

Orthos raised an eyebrow. "Don't count your blessings too soon my love." he smiled across at her. "The locals seem to be getting restless.." he indicated the dozen or so people around the bar.."

"I'm thinking we'll be done eating before security has to show up." Daisy speculated. "If some of them do disturb us I'll make a mental note of who they were. Some of my marines are looking for some extra credit."

"Thats my hope too." Orthos responded as he started eating his food. "Nothing worse then getting something thrown at us while we eat... tends to ruin dinner and the mood..... then I start wanting restitution."

"Really?" Daisy asked. "How does one do that?"

"Its something new.... as in one broken bone, a pint of blood and fifteen square centimeters of skin from each offender." he explained with a smile.

"I would just ban them from the Green Dragon for a month." Daisy told Orthos. "The way some of the crew drink, I think they would take your method."

"I think the barkeep and everyone else gets too much entertainment from the fighting in here." he commented as she regarded her. "I'd like to see what you do to the dumb idiot who hits you with something here."

"A person who is drunk enough to assault a Klingon, female or not, would probably have alcohol poisoning." Daisy commented. "Though to be honest, I don't know what I would do."

"Well I know what you'd do." Orthos grinned at her. "You'd break his body over your knee." he commented with a smile as he ate another mouthfull of his food, keeping an ye on her and a second on the gathering.

Daisy laughed at Orthos' comment. "I hope I don't. Torilla threatened to throw me in the brig last time a broke a crew member's bones."

Orthos raised an eyebrow. "If it was self defense." he commented "She won't... she's not that big an asshole..."

"Indeed, she is not." Daisy agreed. "There is however, a limit to self defense." Daisy confessed. "Besides, the Roanoke isn't the first place I've broken a subordinate's bones."

"I know... I was there for it.." Orthos reminded her. "Besides.. I wouldn't worry about Torilla... you won't start the fight and you were at dinner with me." he explained. "She would want to talk to you of course but that's about it really."

"Your probably right." Daisy agreed. She secretly was, however, a little concerned about the amount of damage she could do to somebody. She was also disturbed that sometimes she got a rush out of fighting.

"So, how is your job?" Daisy asked to change the subject.

"I get to help Zara and Torilla command the ship. as the Chief of the Boat... all the enlisted guys come to me with their grievances and I also help the various department heads with their issues too. Today is was medical.... this one Bajoran woman... Holy mother of pearl... she was useless..."

"Do you enjoy your job?" Daisy asked. "It sounds important but tedious."

"I do actually..." he admitted. "Its a fun job..."

"I enjoy my job as a marine." Daisy told Orthos. "I don't have the patience for security."

"I hear you.... so any headaches among your jarheads I ought to know about?" he inquired.

"I'm going to have my NCOs try and keep our Marines out of your hair." Daisy told him. "There is one guy who might be a complete wash. His name is LaBrosse. I have a couple of NCOs working on him but they can't make progress."

"I apprecate that.." Orthos responded. "LaBrosse.... I've heard of him from others.... real meathead.... he also got a private named Werner into some trouble apparently..."

Daisy starred down at her plate. "Yeah, I had a little discipline problem with him. We both worked that out and came to an understanding."

"Yeah... everyone heard about that one.... I mean LaBrosse tried getting Werner in trouble... one of my guys mentioned it to me because he was present at the time..." Orthos explained

"Um, yeah." Daisy agreed, not trying to bring up that she almost killed Werner in a brawl. "Duval gave Werner a good talking to."

"LaBrosse had it coming. from what my man tells me." he commented evenly. "Werner got splattered in shit.... he only hit LaBrosse after the man got him into trouble with a Corporal Logan." he explained. "LaBrosse really had it coming hon... I looked up the footage too..."

"I'm always seemed to be surprised at how long Star Fleet holds on to people like LaBrosse." Daisy commented. "Of course, your probably here to watch the fights break out and save you the time of looking at security footage."

Orthos grinned at her. "you know me well... and besides... I sometimes like to see you in action." he commented. "nothing I like more then watching you rearrange someone's face.." his smile widened into something resembling a look of innocence. "did I say that out loud?" his grin widened. "Are you doing anything tonight?"

Daisy smiled back at Orthos. "I don't thinking listening to Bach counts as having plans, does it?"

"It can help as background music..." Orthos grinned at her. "There is nothing wrong with Bach..."

Daisy grinned. "I like Bach but I never considered it as ambient music."

"Oh anything can be used as background music.. "Orthos grinned at her. "Besides... I don't see us listening to the music when we're in bed together..."

Daisy finished her pasta. "I was more hungry than I thought." Daisy muttered. She looked up at Orthos. "I'm glad we came here and see, I've finished without a body flying across our table."

"Don't count your blessings until we leave dear." Orthos commented with a grin as he likewise finished his food. "That was good." he added.

"Oh ye of little faith" Daisy replied. "How are your personal quarters? I ask because we can always use mine again if you would rather do that."

"My quarters are finally set up.." he gave her a look. "However. I like your place... something about the ambiance helps the mood." and with that he blew her a kiss.

Daisy smiled back at Orthos but before she could talk the sound of shattering glass interrupted. At the bar a blonde deck technician had just crashed a bottle over a red headed Tellarite engineer's head. The Tellarite shook off the blow and rammed his bloody head into the tech's abdomen. The tech went down but before the Tellarite could pounce on him a large ebony skinned tech picked the engineer up and throw him into a table.

"Um, shall we stop this?" Daisy asked.

Orthos regarded her. "May I have this dance?" he inquired before he leapt into the fight, head first.

Daisy was reluctant to enter the brawl. Two more engineers entered the Green Dragon, saw the downed Tellarite with the two techs on him and entered the fight.

Orthos saw them coming as he kicked one and flattened the other. "THATS ENOUGH" he roared. "Next one to throw a punch goes to the slammer..." he added loudly.

Daisy looked on, impressed. The other enlisted saw Orthos and got the point. They separated and went back to drinking, albeit each party eyeing each other.

Orthos turned to Daisy. "Shall we get outta here? and let these guys get back to their fight?"

"Yea, I'm thinking these guys really want to fight. You can deal with these guys tomorrow." Daisy told Orthos while moving right up next to him. She grabbed his right hand and maneuvered it over her buttocks. "I can think of better things to do tonight." Daisy smiled at Orthos.

"You are a tease." Orthos commented as he gripped a hand full of her ass. "I'm not complaining though." and with that, he and Daisy departed the Lounge, heading back to her place.
