Captain Michael Hunt entered the conference room several minutes before the Senior Officer's Meeting aka SOM to prepare his briefing with his Department Chiefs and XO. With welcoming the Romulan Liaison aboard after his Intelligence briefing, it left him with let time than he liked to prepare.

Once Hunt had everything ready, he took his seat and waited for his senior staff to start filing in.

Lt. Doe walks into the meeting room looks round only seeing the Captain in the room he ruffles up his hair to make it look less tidy than it was before he takes a seat at the end of the table from the captain.

The door opened and in walked Commander Celeste Yamaguchi, she made the uniform look sexy as she selected a chair and she took a seat, the Executive Officer followed the human female into the room. "Everything is status quo on the bridge sir." she said to Captain Hunt as she took a seat on his right, which by tradition was where the Executive officer always sat.

"Glad to hear it," Hunt replied to his XO.

Joe stepped into the room looked around giving a nod to everyone before taking his seat.

Jack walks into the room, looks round seeing that he is not the last one to arrive, before he takes up a seat about halfway down the table and takes a PADD from his pocket and places it on the table ready to take notes.

William had had a wonderful day. The sort of day… was quickly revealed to those within the senior officers lounge. His face was covered in ash, debris, soot, smoke, save for a pair of large circles around his eyes, clear indication of his own usage of Personal Protective Equipment. . His hair pushed back by engine grease. His uniform was missing a sleeve and a pant leg, and given that there was indications of basic first aid applied. His eyes danced around and there he peered down towards a pad as he walked in, shaking his head, before he wrinkled his nose, turned his head to glance at his shoulder, and then brushed a piece of debris was brushed from his shoulder, and then he looked towards the others with in the room and grinned. “Fashionably late?” He questioned as he stepped forwards, moving to his chair, while continuing his work. “So what’s all the hub bub?”

"Commander? What... happened?" Hunt asked his Chief Engineer about his state of appearance as he extended his arm up and down at William to indicate what he meant.

The man had heard his rank addressed and he turned to address the Captain, who had raised his eyebrow and an obvious look of worry on his face. There he looked down to his form when it was gestured to and he blinked. “Uh…” Huh. Clearly the thought had not really crossed his mind. “… Would you believe me if I was working on a project with experimental materials, there was a unforeseen electromagnetic entanglement along my work table, that cancelled out the internal sensors, created some sort of unique force that propelled me backwards, through the air, dropped the controlled power source, exposed one of the relays, lit my leg on fire and part of my floor?” He commented as he brought his thumb and finger to cup his chin and he began to take the thinking position. “I wonder if I can replicate that particular set of events? Internal Camera’s perhaps? Huh. Well no matter, something to ponder upon another day next time I’m planet side.”

Jaina walked in soon behind the Chief Engineer and it didn't take her long to notice his appearance. "It would appear that a certain Engineer has just used up one of his nine lives," Jaina said with a slight smile. Jaina looked around the room for a moment, spotted an empty seat and headed towards it.

Yamaguchi took in William Maxwell's appearance at a glance. "Well now... OI'd tell you to go to sickbay but you'd tell me you were alright and nothing was wrong.." she commented. "So... I'm going to make it official, as soon as we are done here, you're coming with me down to sickbay so I can clean you up."

Maxwell looked at the two women, with a raised eyebrow. Were they ganging up on him? Probably. And there he sighed and shook his head. “Honestly, you think this would be the first time something’s tried to flash fry me.” He commented with a grin, as he closed his eyes and pretended to think about It and then answered. “Outstanding, I can’t believe I’m actually doing this, but I guess I’ll do it.” He commented with a chuckle.

Wintersnow wore a bemused expression on her exotic looking face. "I thought she asked nicely... Must I ask too?" she then batted her eyelashes at him. "It would vex me.... most grievously."

Yamaguchi knew the Executive Officer was an unusual woman as she sighed softly. "Telios?"

"Yes...?" Wintersnow turned to regard the human woman who had addressed her.

"He's a lost cause... lets get on with the meeting."

Wintersnow turned back to Captain Hunt. "I think we're all here... shall we proceed?" the Draenei inquired.

"Lt.Cmdr. Winterlyn and Lt. Duka aren't here yet. We should add a demerit to their records if they don't have a good reason to attend or arriving late," Hunt replied to his XO. Then he added, "But yes, we should start the meeting."

Hunt stood up next to conference room view screen, "Good morning everyone. It's good to finally be in space again. As for our mission..."

Hunt put an image of the planet on the screen as a visual aide as he spoke, "The planet of Cthuloon 5 is a large moon orbiting a gas giant. It has massive storms in its atmosphere and until very recently Federation scientists haven't been able to look at the planet. A survey vessel sent down several drones. They kept losing drones in one particular area. Then, the vessel lost control and crashed on the planet. Starfleet received a signal from their distress beacon."
