Reunion, the Draenei way

Mission: Mission 14: Rage Rage Rage Against the Dying of the Light
Location: Various Locations - USS Shadow
Timeline: 1030Hours - April 20th, 2390

Commander Telios Wintersnow was seated in the command chair as Captain Hunt was in the ready room, busy dealing with a matter of Starfleet Intelligence. Her thoughts turned back to home as she missed the presence of her species, her family and her mother who'm she had found after almost forty years of searching the stars. She missed the presence of her siblings and the dozen other family members that she knew about.

She recalled the smile of her younger siblings as she set out to find their mother.

Now she was trying to figure out how she would send a message home that she had accomplished her goal as she rose to her hooves before looking around the bridge, it was quiet but too quiet for her tastes as she went over to the Operations station which until recently was her station, she also wore a yellow shirt rather then her present red shirt.

Telios nodded to the Ops officer. "Begin a series of long range scans but.. be subtle about it... I don't want to telegraph our presence.."

Lieutenant JG Wei Anderson nodded her head. "Turning on the headlights now... and not telegraphing our presence. I'm on it Commander." the young Chinese woman smiled as she went to work, leaving Telios to relive her boredom in other ways.

Suddenly she felt a presence touch her mind as she went over to sit down in the Captain's chair, while she recognized the mind that touched hers, it was her younger sibling. Shellan Wintersnow

'Where are you?' came the demand from Telios's sibling who'm she had not seen in far too long. 'I'm chasing you at five million kilometers, you can't detect me... so don't try to locate us... We've made improvements to our stealth tech since last you were home sister...'

Telios knew this was not a chat she could have on the bridge so she turned to the next officer in line as she stood up. "Commander you have the bridge. I'm going to tour the ship." With that she went into the turbolift as she telegraphed 'I'm on the USS Shadow.. the ship you're shadowing.."

'Aptly named my sister.... It has been too long. were you successful in finding mom?"

'I was.' Telios responded, she nearly burst into tears upon feeling her siblings relief and joy.

'Fantastic... Are you ready to come home yet?' came the response.

'Negative... these people have great potential.' Telios answered. 'They are on the verge of becoming the Galaxy's newest superpower. In time they will find us... unless we reveal ourselves to them first...'

'I know how you feel... Its why I'm here. I came to retrieve you and mom... then I was to see about opening a dialogue with the United Federation of Planets.'

Telios raised an eyebrow, she had never heard of either sibling speak so openly of the Draenei Confederation's desires. 'What position do you hold and are you empowered to talk to anyone in the Federation?'

Telios waited a moment as the response came, needless to say it wasn't what she had expected. 'I'm a Master Admiral, I joined the Navy after you left to find mom... I always intended to chase you across the stars... But I wanted to do it another way... my mate and children wanted to come along but I refused them..'

'Mate and children... Shellan. I had no idea.'

'I know... Needless to say... We should not stay long as it'll tax you.... I can feel that you're rusty in your skills my sister...'

'I think I'm insulted.' Telios could almost see her sibling on her own bridge with another half a dozen Draenei on the bridge and another two thousand souls on the Draenei Battleship, the Draenei were two and a half thousand years ahead of the Federation in terms of tech so they were able to easily hide themselves. Telios knew all of this of course so she decided not to report this. 'In any case. I will ignore it... for now. But... sibling of mine, do not try my patience.... I have no time for games and I'm not in the mood for the same either.'

'I'm Sorry.' her sibling responded. 'I will investigate the Federation quietly for the next few months... then I will get back to you... where will I find you?'

Telios shrugged, it was the first action she had done since stepping into the turbolift and requesting its destination and then telling it to halt a few moments later. 'You'll find me by doing a search for my name in the Federation's Data net.' the Draenei answered.

'The Federation data net's security is a joke. you might want to do some reinforcement of that.... It was too easy for us to slip in and out.' Telios suddenly found herself laughing out loud. 'You always were a prankster at heart. Shellan

'Yeah well... n any case.. where is mom?'

'You'll find her assigned to the USS Roanoke, located presently at Starbase 12..' she smiled as she sent Shellan the information.

'Thank you... I hope she's alright?'

'She is... She and I chatted last night... She's presently working on that ship to sort out her broken down computer systems.... apparently that ship is a Battleship wreak thats been hit by a hundred lance rounds.'

'Oooh..' Telios felt her sister wince at that thought. 'Alright.. stay safe... I'll be back for you... stay alive..'

'Willdo.' as she felt her sibling terminate the contact. Telios let out a breathe of air as she sighed. "My family... they're alive.."
