Mission: Mission 8: Hope Found and then Lost
Location: Various Locations - USS Yorktown
Timeline: 0800Hrs - April 10th, 2389

“Captain to Senior Staff, report to the Bridge. Engineering, I
want a full series of Level One diagnostics ran on the Flight
Control and Propulsion systems, now.”

Torilla Yamaguchi gently placed her left hand over her abdomen
where her new unborn child was sleeping as she regarded Siaxx
the Bolian who had just broken the news to her as she looked
like she was in a state of shock.

Siaxx went over to the replicator as a drinjk appeared before
she ordered it, it was Tarkalian tea as she accepted the glass
"Thank you." and the computer beeped at her.

"Siaxx... Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Torilla inquired
as she receved the drink and before anyone could stop her, she
downed the entire contents of the hot tea rather then sip it.

"About the Core... I am actually.." Siaxx responded quietly.

"Alright... look over your medical textbooks and find me a
definition of intelligence that fits our computer core...
because I have a feeling we're dealing with something few have
ever seen."

"Alright..." Siaxx responded dubiously as she picked up her
medkit. "Comke on.. the skiper is expecting us."

Torilla sliped herself off the bed as she followed the taller
then average Bolian out the door and into a nearby turbolift.
"Bridge." she told the lift as it started into motion without
Siaxx requesting her destination. "I'll tell the Captain about
my present situation but I doubt it'll be an issue... K'Temoc
doesn't seem to hold much stock in family but I could be wrong."

"Considering his brother is the Admiral.." Siaxx commented
evenly.

"Yep. It would be a mistake in assuming that one is a puppet
of the other." Torilla commented evenly as the door opened and
they were just up the hall from the aft starboard hatch to the
bridge.

Torilla walked onto the bridge. "Captain" she greeted the
Commanding Officer of the USS Yorktown. "Whats going on sir?"
