The Lonely Mountain - Part One

Posted on Sun Feb 23rd, 2020 @ 8:53pm by Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi & Jillian "Phoenix" Sullivan

Mission: Mission 4: Flashover
Location: Starbase Promenade - Starbase 400
Timeline: 1200Hrs - October 11th, 2388

Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi was most certainly not wearing her uniform as she was wearing a floor-length cassock robe which hid all of her features except her face and hands as she wore it with the hood up so she looked like a simple traveler or a lost tourist in the busy throng of people, it was black with two white stripes on the cuffs, indicating her status as a master in Klingon martial arts, she was hoping to roam around the promenade and then go take in a new holoprogram she had obtained from her husband who was just as dangerous as she was except he couldn't grapple with opponents as she could.

Jacob Lee Yamaguchi made up for it by being able to duel with more weapons then she could.

She wanted to get as far away from responsibility as possible as she rounded the corner and suddenly found herself facing three rather disgruntled men, they looked like miners from the nearby colony on Kaleb IV which the Starbase orbited.

"Hey lookie here boys... what's this... a tasty morsel for us."

Torilla smiled. "Heh, why don't you boys run along now."

"Oh... see I think she's disrespecin' us..." as the second miner looked closer. "Come on... slip out of that cassock lady, we won't hurt ya."

Torilla sighed softly as she slowly slid back her hood to reveal her handsome and rather well-rounded features. "I will warn you, gentlemen, once... go home before someone gets hurt..." her tone spoke of authority. "Or I can break bones and make you all know pain... your call."

This only seemed to entice the three men who seemed more interested than ever as Torilla took a step back, one of the men suddenly made a clumsy attempt to grab her as she shrieked once, it was extremely loud and shrill, enough to stun the three men as she smiled, knowing full well what effect the loud shriek would do.

She then quickly slipped off her cassock as she produced a Halanian fighting pike, which was a small object which fit into the palm of the hand, she tapped the button as it snapped out into a rather lengthy pole about five foot long.

"Come dance with me now boys." Torilla smiled as she was wearing her martial arts gi which was black with the same two white stripes on the cuffs. "

The three men came at her as she proceeded to defend herself by dealing with them but a fourth person got involved who promptly finished off her third attacker.

Torilla wasn't even breathing hard as she regarded the other woman. "Ms. Phoenix. You are the last person I was expecting to meet in this place..."

Phoenix was by far, a stark contrast, dressed in a dark-gray, long-sleeve microfiber running shirt. Her pants were black with twin-grey racing stripes down the side, and she looked very hard at the kid she just decked with her metal hand.

His nose was bleeding and her eyes were still on fire, which probably was the reason the kid went scrambling off.

"I'm not generally happy until I've spilled blood in the morning," Phoenix noted wryly and shook her head in disbelief. "They'll probably go run to their trashy friends though."

"Yes... they do make the place look untidy." and with that Torilla tapped her combadge to call security and have them send a team to her location as she plucked her cassock from the floor as she slipped it over her shoulders.

"Yes... well..." Phoenix frowned and ran her fingers through her bangs, "I don't like being heroic, so don't go telling people about this." She then pointed to the other woman's weapon. "What is that thing?"

"Its a Halanian fighting pike." and pressed the single stud in the middle and the weapon collapsed down into an object which fit into the palm of her hand. "Point it to the left and right, if you are not careful... you'll knock yourself out with it," she explained.

"I prefer Parkour and a good fist swing... Ain't nothing that'll harm me, if I can outrun them," Phoenix countered with a hint of gruff.

"Well... seeing you here saves me the bother of having to track you down tomorrow... I had something I wanted to run past you..."
