Mission:
Mission 103: The Rumblings of Discontent
Location: Various Locations - USS Solemn Penance
Timeline: 1130Hrs - August 27th, 2393
As the USS Solemn Penance fled down the heading she was taking, the warp engines flared and suddenly, the lights cut out, the energy around the coils crackled as it sought avenues to escape but as none could be found, due to the system being damaged from an earlier firefight, the system died and the USS Solemn Penance suddenly found herself stranded a long way from home.
On the bridge of the Solemn Penance, Captain Skherli growled as he stood up, out of the chair that he claimed was his but due to a mutiny he had committed, neither the ship or the chair was his in any way, shape or form whatsoever. "What's going on with the warp drive?."
One of his bridge officers whom he had forgotten the name of, turned to face him. "Its down skipper, it needs physical repairs and until those happen, we're more or less immobilized." came the unexpected answer.
"Shit," Shkreli answered bluntly.
Meanwhile, down on deck nine, section eighteen stood two security officers. "You ever wonder if we're doing something wrong?"
"No. I do as I am told." the second man answered as if by rote. "I answer to my commanding officer of the ship, whomsoever that might be." the man added a moment later. "You could do worse than follow my example."
"Perhaps." the first man answered in a diplomatic tone of voice, or what he hoped was a diplomatic tone of voice when suddenly a phaser beam lanced from his right side, stunning the first guard who dropped to the deck, the second guard turned as he lifted his sidearm, as a rather handsome, tall and well built human female came around the corner, she smiled as she shot and stunned the second security guard, before she stepped forward, a red light appeared over the door pannel as she tapped the door lock on the panel next to the door the two men had been guarding, this indicated that the door had not been unlocked. She smiled as she tapped the manual release. A second panel opened as she pulled the small leaver contained within, suddenly the door slid open as she slid the small panel closed.
Watseka smiled as she moved into the Captain's quarters, only to duck his swinging a chair at her, she rolled forward as he moved right after her. "Captain, wait..." Watseka called out as he glared at her, but he stopped and he looked at her, upon realizing who it was he was about to attack, he lowered the chair. "You have improved Commander," he commented in a rather dry tone of voice.
"Motivated self-interest Captain." The handsome woman sighed softly. "You did try to bash my head in with that chair of yours... I was expecting something like that so I anticipated you... Still. It's a good thing you didn't connect. John would be most angry with you." she added with a soft sigh. "Come on. I'm here to rescue you. The next stop is Colonel DeCrescents' place, we should recover him as well as you."
"I assume the crew is rising against Shkerli.?" Brevik inquired in a neutral tone of voice.
"No, the crew are all trapped in the hanger bays support ships," Watseka explained. "The ship has sustained moderate damage and honestly, needs to go back to the yards for repairs," Watseka explained evenly. "Most of Shkerli's personnel who sided with him have been dealt with, they are confined in sickbay, its the easiest thing we could find for a brig."
"Who is 'we?'." Brevik inquired evenly of the tall female before him.
"Warlock, Ironhide, and Swansong," Watseka answered. "Plus my husband as well."
"John is taking up arms...?" Brevik inquired with a surprised look on his face.
"Considering what Shkreli did to me," Watseka answered quietly. "He raped me."
Brevik let out a soft sigh. "I'm sorry Lindsey," he added.
"For what?" she asked. "You did nothing wrong." as she handed him a second sidearm. "Come on, let's go rescue Colonel DeCrescents.". With that, the two departed Brevik's quarters, Watseka smiled as she had the two downed guards beamed to sickbay for confinement. Several minutes went by while the process of rescuing the confined officer repeated itself. Brevik regarded his old friend. "Colonel. I have come to release you from your illegal confinement."
"Captain. I was catching up on my reading and my paperwork, its all finished... What's the situation?" he inquired of the two being before him.
"Nothing good, we're almost disabled, we can't fight outside enemies and we can't flee either," Brevik explained. "Starfleet knows we've gone rogue. Thanks to a mutiny that's taken place."
"Lovely, then we've best retake the ship before Starfleet drops the hammer on us," Watseka answered in a flat tone.
"We'd best go find Ironhide and link up with him then," DeCrescents commented with a nod of his head. "Come on, lets go." and with that, the three escapees departed in silence, out in the hallway, they pulled the cover off of one of the ships crawlspaces and in they went, one at a time before Waseka, who was last in, picked up the lid and pulled it closed.
