Drama and Regrets - Part Five

Mission: Mission 108: Grains of Sand
Location: Various Locations - USS Heart of the Tiger / Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1030Hrs - December 3rd, 2393

Commander Ennis Cullen went into the nearby turbolift. He tapped his combadge. "Cullen to Yamaguchi-Cullen. Rachael. Where are you, honey?"

"I'm at home and I've already started packing." came the response. "Saki, Sarah and the kids will be coming home in the next couple of hours and I wanna be ready to go when they come home," Yamaguchi-Cullen explained her plans and intentions. "Before they come home, I want one of us to go over to Vanguard and get our new home ready."

"Copy that. I'm on my way home now." Cullen answered. "When I get there. I'll help you pack out and you head over so we can move the kids without fuss," he commented. "Out." as he tapped his combadge again. Terminating the com line to his spouse. She had work to do and he did not wish to distract her.

The turbolift doors opened and out walked Cullen. He entered his home a few minutes later. He found his spouse with several bags scattered around. His spouse emerged from the bedroom with a huge armload of clothing. She went over to the replicator before dumping the pile before it. She nodded to her husband before she retreated into the bedroom.

Cullen went over to where one of the large empty bags, he then went into the study. He began packing up the precious items that the two used to mark their home as theirs. Cullen took the pictures down before he wrapped them in towels and then he packed them in the bag. Before long the study was empty and the bag was full. He carried the bag into the main area. "The study is empty now. How are you doing?" Cullen smiled at his wife.

Yamaguchi-Cullen smiled. "The bedroom and the bathroom are all but finished," she commented. "What about the kid's rooms.?" she asked him.

"I'll handle those but we could leave Saki and Sarah's rooms until last. I need to pack everything quickly." Cullen commented. "Our successors will be on their way here."

"Lovely," Yamaguchi-Cullen answered softly. "Alright. I'd best get back to it," she added.

Cullen went into Saki's room with a large bag in hand. She knows what she would need to placate her child as she went to work packing Saki's stuff. Soon she was finished. "Alright. Let's take these items with us to the Starbase." Yamaguchi-Cullen paused. "I'll go find out where our new home is. Could you finish packing what we need and arrange for the delivery of our stuff?" she asked Ennis. He nodded. "Yeah. I'll take care of it." with that, the two parted as Yamaguchi-Cullen picked up the bag she had packed for the study and the second one was for the master bathroom.

Yamaguchi-Cullen found her way to the airlock. After the various checks, she went to the quartermaster's office. After she found her new home. Then Yamaguchi-Cullen made her way to her new space. She found that her new home was more than twice the space of her old home. She smiled as she went into the den before she dropped off the first bag. She then went into the bedroom, before crossing the room. Yamaguchi-Cullen went into the bathroom and what she saw encouraged her. "I can see why the Starbase guys want to live on Starbases," she commented aloud. She went over to the sink area while she opened the bag. "Oh, Ennis. I think here is where you will impregnate me when we settle in." Yamaguchi-Cullen commented openly. Her desire for another child was well known.

Yamaguchi-Cullen quickly began unpacking the stuff for the master bathroom. She lightly tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi-Cullen to Cullen," she commented. "Go ahead and send our stuff to my location. I'm in our new home," she commented with a rather wide smile.

"Copy. Stand by." came the response. Suddenly several bags appeared before Yamaguchi-Cullen. "Everything is packed and I'm gonna turn these quarters over to the Logistics guys for their work. I'm on my way over after I pick up Saki and Sarah. They will be able to help us unpack. We'll be there in about twenty minutes. Out." came the response

Yamaguchi-Cullen slowly grinned. She turned to the collection of bags. She smiled while she picked up the large bag that she knew was Saki's. There were four bedrooms in this set of quarters. So the children would have their choice of the largest next to the master bedroom. This, Yamaguchi-Cullen would keep for her and her husband. Partly as she wished to bed her husband in peace. The master bedroom was directly connected to the main bedroom. There were two other bathrooms. One would handle Saki or Sarah's various needs and the second would look after the guests that Yamaguchi-Cullen knew she would soon be receiving. She knew she had a lot to do. So she decided to get on with it.
