Posted on Fri Dec 31st, 2021 @ 8:03pm by Commander Sohnaxx Dvald & Fleet Captain Marie Yamaguchi

Mission: Mission 110: Blue on Blue
Location: Various Locations - USS Stalingrad
Timeline: 0845Hrs - October 27th, 2393

Fleet Captain Marie Yamaguchi regarded the older Bolian, a cheery look in her eyes as she nodded. "Congratulations Commander... For a moment, I thought you blew it..."

"Hell, I thought I blew it too... I guess Captain Kuuztin is not like the average Captain in this fleet..." Dvald sighed softly as she got back to her feet, she gently shook her former commanding officer's hand before she gently gave the larger woman a hug. "Thanks for thinking of me."

"You'll always be welcome here Sohnaxx..." Yamaguchi smiled down at the much older female before her. "but all of that said... I need your assistance with your replacement." she commented as the dark-complected woman went and sat down behind her desk. "I've been looking through the medical database for someone who would jump off the page at me but for some reason... I didn't select anyone."

"Mmm... Well, we can't have that, dear." Dvald answered as she simply turned the chair she was now sitting in, to face her commanding officer. "Let's see..." she paused. "You will want someone with a lower rank... So they can't be poached from you by some asshole wanting to nail you on the procedures of things," she commented before she realized her double-entendre, she decided to ignore it and press ahead. "Also avoid higher ranked people as they tend to not stick around because of Starbases and their own commands," Dvald explained. "Computer, interface with Starfleet mainframe and display all medical officers of Lieutenant rank seeing transfers in the last two months." she commented, "It'll be a few, due to recent events around the Federation..."

"Working." the computer answered in its usual flat female voice.

"Display on-screen when ready." Dvald quipped.

The list appeared as requested and it was over a thousand names long. Dvald sighed softly. "Alright... Now remove anyone below the age of twenty-eight years old relative to their species." and with that, a third of the list vanished. "You want someone who is stable and mild-mannered, you do not need a hothead or a malcontent," she added.

Yamaguchi nodded. "I want a successor to you. They seem to be hard to find."

"We don't exist, sweetie," Dvald answered. "I was on the reassignment list for what... Four days? if that... and I got snapped up by Kuuyztin who wanted an older officer with the experience to back it up. He wanted someone who could tell him that this grandmother was good at what she did, be it in the jungle with a rifle or in the arctic with a tricorder and everything in between..."

"You were on the list about ten minutes after you submitted your request," Yamaguchi answered with a nod of her head. "Once I realized that you were right..."

"I did not wish to cause issues but had I not said anything, I would have finished my career here on the Stalingrad, and since I don't plan to retire any time soon... I wanted to move on, to do something new... This is no slight against you, this ship or her crew..."

"I didn't take it as such," Yamaguchi answered. "I doubt anyone else will either."

Dvald smiled, she liked her issues to be as cut and dried as possible but she also understood when they weren't. "Computer, remove anyone with a bad review or physic evaluation." and with that, almost half the remaining list disappeared. "Three hundred or so names remaining." she paused. "Now, computer remove anyone above the age of thirty-six and all of the mustangs..." she paused. "People too old won't stay either... and it'll also remove the officers who still think like they are enlisted men."

Two hundred and sixty names vanished, this left about forty names. "Alright, I can work with this," Yamaguchi answered.

"Computer, highlight anyone who had their last assignment on a Starbase, Deep space station or Federation outpost." eight names were suddenly highlighted. "Let's start with these ones first... They are often wanting to get away from bases with massive populations and want the small village feel of a Starfleet ship rather than the cities in space that Starbases often feel like."

Yamaguchi tapped the first name, it was an officer who was a Bajoran male, she went through his request and it said a colony or a ground base, so she removed him, the elimination process was quick and shortly the two women were down to two candidates. "What about this one. Nalla Fordragon..."

"Mmm..." Dvald paused as she regarded the female before her. She smiled as she admired the young woman's picture. "Mmmm... She's a looker, I might have to take this girl to bed and fuck her myself."

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow as she opted not to press further. "She's skilled... She has over a half a dozen degrees from Starfleet medical school." she commented. "Maybe this is the one..."

"Let's call her, and ask her directly," Dvald answered
