Location: Various Locations - Utgarde IV
Timeline: 1500Hrs - September 23rd, 2393

Colonel Tienn Nerra regarded her former Executive officer as the small Bolian woman stood before her, she had a duffel bag at her feet as she wore her duty uniform with her rank of Major. "So... Daenerys, you ready to go?" she asked the small Bolian female before her.

Dvald-Festlin nodded her head, she was only five foot one but she had it all where it counted. "I am Colonel. Permission to depart?"

"I will go with you, to see you off properly," Tienn answered quietly as she came around her desk to stand before the small framed Bolian, as she gently hugged the smaller woman. "It'll be alright."

"I wish I had your strength," Dvald-Festlin answered.

"I wish that I had your faith..." Tienn answered with a gentle smile. "So... any ideas where you are heading off to.?"

"They finally told me, Chief Engineer of the USS Gascogne... She's a Wasp-class ship that's been assigned to a small unit of ships, set up for specialist assignments. Mostly they will be Engineering related and USS Daedalus and USS Gascogne will handle those while the USS Bayern protects us with her big guns..." the small Bolian explained. "Maybe it'll work out."

"Maybe it won't," Tienn answered.

"Y'see, there you go again, always focusing on the negative Nerra. It's not healthy for you, or your baby." Dvald-Festlin answered with a gentle smile. "You should be thinking of the little one... Not of what's happening with me and while I don't like it, I'm also not going to be unreasonable on the matter." Dvald-Festlin gently placed her hands onto the Bajoran's shoulders. "Do not trouble yourself with this. It's only a passing thing... and sooner or later... I will find what I seek and then I'll be back..."

Tienn gently smiled down at the shorter woman. "As I said. I wish I had your strength."

"You do fine enough on your own..." Dvald-Feslin answered softly, both women knew that this departure was coming and it would be neither quick or gentle. "I need to get going. My ride out of here leaves in less than an hour and I need to be aboard her." the small Bolian answered.

"Then we should get going." as she reached over towards her desk monitor, she turned it to check something before she smiled, on the display was a note that read. "Your surprise is set up, we await only your august presence."

Tienn grinned. "Alright... Come on Daenerys. Its time to go." and with that, the Bolian woman picked up her pack before she hugged the Bajoran. "Thank you... for believing in me."

"Your welcome." Tienn had been surprised with the strength of the smaller woman's grip but she didn't show it on her face as she hugged Dvald-Festlin back. "Come on, we should go."

Dvald-Feslin nodded as she turned before she went over to the exit. Tienn followed as she smiled, the doors parted to reveal two lines of marines lining the entire length of the hallway, they were all wearing their standard uniforms. Tienn barked. "Attention on deck!"

All of the marines came to the attention, as one. Dvald-Feslin began moving down the hallway, as she did so, the marines nodded to her as she passed them. The gathering was indoors without hats, also Starfleet did not have a saluting custom either. Festlin-Dvald entered the transporter room where two marines were waiting for her, Tienn followed the small Bolian woman in silence into the transporter room.

The Sergent Major regarded her with a nod of his head, his craggy features traveling nothing as he smiled at her. "I wish you good fortune, Major. Take care of yourself out there."

"You knew about this," Dvald-Festlin commented.

Tienn nodded. "I knew... It was Captain Haverson's idea to send you off with an honor detail," Tienn explained as she indicated the marine present, who was standing next to the sergeant major. "For now, he will be taking over as your successor. Until General Zh'Fegerro comes up with a permanent replacement," she explained.

There were a lot more things that the gathering could have said, or maybe should have said but they knew to keep this brief. "Permission to depart sir.?" Dvald-Festlin commented quietly.

"Permission granted," Tienn commented evenly, as the small gathering watched as the Bolian stepped up onto the transporter pad in silence. "They are ready for you sir." the transporter chief explained to the Bolian.

"Energize please," Dvald-Feslin answered and with that, she was beamed to her destination. Tienn sighed softly. "Honor detail dismissed."

With that, the marines began to file out of the hallways, either back to what they had been doing or going off watch, as their duty shifts had ended around this time. Haverson regarded Tienn in silence before he addressed her.

"I'm sorry Captain. yes... Let's go back to my office so we can go over matters of state." Tienn answered before she nodded her head to the sergeant major. "Thank you, sergeant major, for your efforts here."

"No worries ma'am... For what it's worth... I liked her, she was down to Earth and while she had her issues, she also had various virtues as well. I hope she is treated well on her next assignment."

"Likewise," Tienn answered softly. "I'll seeya tomorrow morning."

"Working late?" the sergeant major inquired of his boss who shook her head in response. "No, Captain Haverson, and I won't be too long." the tall Bajoran answered with a soft sigh. "Then I'm going home and going to get some sleep... I want to pretend today didn't happen."

"Understandable." the sergeant major answered before he turned and walked out the door, without being dismissed, it was a major act of insubordination but Tienn wasn't of the heart to object to it, but he wasn't doing it at her.

"Come on Captain, let's go address our problems..." and with that, Tienn departed, followed but eh Captain in question.
