Mission: Mission 97: The Fleet Reorganization Saga
Location: Various Locations - USS Hermes
Timeline: 0900Hrs - August 14th, 2392

Captain Korelii McKnight smiled softly to herself as she regarded the new Chief of Science before her, he was standing before her but not at attention, she knew who he was as she was married to the man and had borne him several children, in short, this was her long-lost husband who was always serving on other ships away from her and while she had missed him, his company and his presence, she had tolerated it for the greater good of their careers and the like. "So... Daniel." McKnight purred as she regarded her husband, a look of lust in her eyes as she blatantly began hitting on him.

"Yes, Captain?" McKnight inquired of her, a twinkle in his eyes. "What do you require of me?" he inquired of the female seated behind her desk.

"Well, I want you to fuck me senseless, right here in this room," McKnight answered, a rather evil gleam in her eyes.

The third person in the room, chuckled softly as he was clearly used to his commanding officer talking like such to her husband. "Do you two want me to leave you alone?" Denisov inquired, a rather easy smile on his lips.

Daniel shook his head. "No." as the other answer came out as a "Yes." Korelii McKnight commented. "What?" she inquired, further.

"You might hurt me," McKnight responded, in response to what his wife had said to him.

The female McKnight chuckled softly. "We both know that's a load of complete and utter bollocks." she grinned at her husband, using a term she had picked up from him years earlier. "Considering how you were with me, the last time I bedded you."

"You didn't bed me. I bedded you." McKnight responded, a wry grin on his face.

Yuri Denisov smiled as he wanted husband and wife interact, he knew full well that Korelii was many things, but stupid was not one of them and melodramatic was another thing she was not but she had an aggressive sense of humor and she was highly protective of her own blood, adding to all of this, the news that she had found her long-lost sibling and then had lost her in battle several weeks later as he watched Korelii go from nice, cool, calm and collected to something truly cruel and cold. Denisov had to stop her from opening fire on Klingon escape pods and transports several times, all of which he had kept out of his logs.

"Anyway, guys. Before this gets out of hand." Denisov commented evenly, as he tried to repress a smile when suddenly the com system beeped at the three of them. "Bridge to McKnight. Skipper, you have a message coming in from Starfleet personnel, Admiral St John wants a word."

"Lovely." Korelii McKnight sighed softly as she huffed a sigh, she closed her eyes for a moment. "Give me the room, you two please," she commented in a gentle tone of voice. The moment was over and it had been ruined.

Denisov didn't hesitate, he rose to his feet and departed quickly as McKnight hesitated while he regarded his wife in silence for a moment before he too, turned and departed. Korelii rose to her feet before she went over to the wall monitor she frequently used for communications rather than the small desktop display on her desk. "I'll take it now, bridge," McKnight said after tapping her combadge once.

"Stand by, skipper." came the response from the officer presently manning the communications station on the bridge. The monitor activated and the face of an older Starfleet officer appeared on the screen, he looked human and somewhere in his mid-fifties. "Captain McKnight." he addressed her, it wasn't a question.

Korelii blinked her eyes as she regarded him. "Yes, Admiral. What can I do for you.?"

"I'm promoting you to Commodore and assigning you the command of the second division in the Ninety-second Fleets carrier wing, it answers to Division Admiral Sildra Vaxx-Warfield and she has Commodore Alexa Phobos-Hunter as her Exec, you'll be commanding the second division."

"I see," McKnight answered. "Thank you, Admiral. I'll handle things on my end." McKnight mentally compiled a list of things she would need to do once she got off the coms with the Admiral. "When does this take effect?." she inquired while dreading the answer which she knew would be something totally ridiculous like later on today.

"At twelve hundred hours today. Your new rank will take effect, along with your assignment."

McKnight nodded. "I'll go and get things sorted out for my new command then. Thank you, Admiral, for letting me know."

"Understood. So you have no questions then?" St Ryan inquired of her.

"No Admiral. None whatsoever." the tall Halanan female responded with a wide smile. "I'm ready to go to work," she added.

"Excellent Commodore. Congratulations on your promotion and the new assignment." he paused. "St Ryan out." and with that, he hung up on her.

McKnight gently tapped the wall monitor once, to turn it off on her end before she retreated to her desk. "He's utterly fucking nuts," she said to herself before she could stop herself. "Where does he get off, promoting me with no warning time and no time at all to prepare for anything," McKnight asked the bulkhead walls, they designed her comment and questions worthy of nothing except their ignorance as McKnight, the female of the species, sat back down in her chair. "I don't know if I should be overjoyed with this development or outright furious over this development," she added aloud.

"Do both, it'll save you so much time." came the response from her husband who had just come back into the office. Daniel McKnight regarded his wife, a gentle smile on his face. "I would normally say congratulations but I suspect you are too irritated to appreciate things."

"I just got my ship and crew sorted out from that fiasco that was the war with the Klingons and now he wants me to take command of the second division of the carrier wing assigned to the ninety-second fleet." she sighed softly. "More work for me and no leave time either."

"I know you needed the time off but these guys are professionals. " McKnight handed his wife a PADD. "I had a feeling something stupid was going to come up so I looked at the promotions list and surprise, surprise. Your name was on it as was mine. Considering my recent commissioning and promotion to the Lt Commanders rank." he explained to her.

"Well, that explains a great many things." Korelii sighed softly. "I was not expecting to be promoted anytime soon." the tall female let out a soft sigh. "Well I had best get on with this, organizing meetings and the yadda yadda yadda." she shook her head. "I'll also be home late, would you mind collecting the kids and handling things?"

"I'll take care of it." McKnight reminded his wife. "As its good to be home at long last," he added. "You need me for anything else?"

"Nah. I'll take care of things on my end," McKnight answered as she shook her head. "Just what I needed, more work."

"Don't worry, it'll be fine." With that, McKnight reached across the desk before he gently kissed his wife on the lips. "I'll get outta here and leave you to it." and with that, he turned and departed, leaving his wife alone with her new workload.
