Mission: Mission 88: We Must have Bloody Noses and Crack'd Crowns
Location: USS Shield of Wolves - Outer Archanis System
Timeline: 0900Hrs - May 29th, 2392

Captain T'Rae was sitting in her command chair as the Vulcan female regarded the display of the target before them. "The Klingons will be warned that we are coming right?"

"We can assume that will indeed be the case." Commander Daniel Yamaguchi responded, he knew how his wife thought and this gave him an edge over Commander Nathan Hanson who was seated at the right side where the Exec was usually seated. "The base is orbiting a planet located here." he indicated the display.

"Tell me about the planet in question." T'Rae inquired, in her gentle soothing voice.

"It's a class J4 Gas Giant. Located in a star system's cold zone." Yamaguchi put up a display of the planet in question on the bridge's main holotable where the senior staff was presently gathered while they were wanting to formulate a battle plan to destroy this base. "Pretty," commented Master Chief Petty Officer Gary Hawkson who was the ship's Chief of the Boat. "What do we blow up first..?"

"The base is located near the ring system of Archanis Eight," Yamaguchi added. "It has a network of sensor probes to ensure it has maximum visibility at all times. We can simply knock them out after we jam them," he added.

"Our larger ships would be detected." Commander Tizarian Lias, who was the Chief Science Officer, reported in her dusky accent. "Whats worse is that we have no carrier to assist us with this goal." the small Trill female sighed softly. "Wait. We could request some land based starfighters from Ajilon come and support us with this."

"Say four squadrons of starfighters, they would blanket-swarm the targets all at once." Lt Commander Greg Saunders paused. "However there is a great risk to this pilots and their ships."

"Yeah, we could lose the lot of them." Commander Fleur Mayweather responded in a dark tone as she regarded her husband while he spoke.

"Wait... That's it!" Yamaguchi commented loudly as he indicated Fleur Mayweather. "We lose them.." he noted the collection of puzzled looks he was getting before he turned to the young Boslic woman near him. "Naris, How are your reflexes?" he inquired of the younger woman.

"I've had no complaints." the young woman responded in a light tone of voice before she gave him an odd look. "Wait a moment. What are you getting at?" Linojj inquired.

"How do you feel about doing a touch-and-go-down-warping into a planet's atmosphere?" Yamaguchi responded as he regarded the Boslic female before him.

"You are utterly, fucking mad." Captain Ryan "Paladin" Archer responded, aghast at the idea. "It'll be like a fly hitting a windshield. We'll never survive that."

"Yep. That's what the Klingons will think too." Yamaguchi explained as he nodded. "Allow me to show you my plan." With that, he began tapping the display before him.

"The plan will be to disable and blind the base long distance defenses.
We'll need to contact the nearest planetary based starfighter force and request their aid as we presently are without a carrier for this effort."
Yamaguchi explained.

Hanson nodded. "I can handle that, Ajilon is the closest base," he responded.

"Alright. Those fighters should deploy to take out the bases early warning network all at the same time, with a few jammers set to cause maximum hassle." he paused. "The Klingons will respond, moving all of their resources out to protect said probes so they will call for assistance from the nearby response force. That will weaken them so the Concord Dawn and her group will have an easier time finishing their target off." Yamaguchi paused a moment.

"The Klingon ships will go after our fighters but they will have a lot more to consider when our group comes out of warp here." he indicated an area not far from the base itself. "So they will need to recall their guys. Timing is everything here... Our ships will make one pass on the base but not concern themselves with demolishing it. That is our goal. Their goal is to distract the enemy." Yamaguchi finished a moment later as he outlined his idea.

T'Rae slowly nodded her head. "I like this idea," she commented simply.

"Of course you would. He is your husband." Lieutenant Piotr "Woden" Ulyanov growled softly.

"If you have a better plan Lieutenant then let's have it.." Nathan Hanson responded.

Yamaguchi regarded the other man. "Please do not make that accusation again. I take that as a personal insult el-tee," he commented quietly. "Failing that, you and I, are going to have a very serious misunderstanding" there are no mistaking the iron tone in Daniel Yamaguchi's voice. "If you have a problem with how the Captain of this ship conducts planning then you take it up with her in private." he paused a moment "Is that clear?

"Yes sir," Ulyanov growled

"Good," Hanson interjected. "Now, that this issue has been sorted out," he added as if nothing was really wrong here. "I would like to add that we have no backup in case we can't destroy the base with what we have on hand," he commented.

Yamaguchi nodded. "Yeah. Looks like it."

"Leave that with me. I will see to it the Klingon base is demolished." Trolare th'Plmol suddenly spoke up, a gentle smile on his face.

"Alright," T'Rae responded quietly. "Then we will go with Daniel's plan." she looked around at the personnel gathered. "Are there any questions?"

There was silence and the tall Vulcan woman looked around. "Let's go to work them." and with that, the assembled personnel scattered and went to their posts. Hanson nodded. "Daniel. contact the battle group and get the ball rolling," he commented. "I'll contact the fighter force guys and request their assistance."
