Mission: Mission 85: My Soul's in Arms, and Eager for the Fray
Location: USS Infinity - Near the Gorn / Klingon Border.
Timeline: 0900Hrs - May 25th, 2392

Captain T'Shaamet regarded the tactical display on the viewscreen at the front of the bridge. The small female Vulcan frowned as her thoughts turned to the young child she had left behind on B Kayor, she missed Evoras, her son as he was planetside and under the care of his biological father, Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi. This was another development she was not prepared for and now that Jake had just lost his wife to Klingon combat, she wasn't sure of how Jake would react.

"Only a few dozen Klingon warships in this area skipper." Commander Sarah Horner interjected into her skippers thought processes, which brought T'Shaamet out of her reverie and back to the present, here and now. "Mmm. Right. let's deal with them."

Lt Commander Kayden Nell regarded the small Vulcan female seated in the Captain's chair, in silence as he checked his display. 'Okay, all weapons are ready for flight and we're ready for battle.'

Horner turned her head to regard him. "We ready Nell?"

"As soon as you give the word sir," Kayden responded as he nodded to Horner, she smiled back as she nodded. "Let these fools, feel Infinity's wrath."

"Heh... Yessir." as Kayden smiled as he went to work, within moments dozens of warheads were launched from their racks and sped down range into several Klingon ships, all of which began to fountain fire and wreckage after a few moments of taking fire from the Infinity.

Meanwhile on the Infinity's bridge. Commander Alyssa Temetti turned her head. "The Klingons are sending a distress call."

T'Shaamet nodded her head, understanding what Temetti was saying. "As expected." she paused. "Skipper. I'm reading several transports turning to flee. Their escorts are proceeding to take us on."

T'Shaamet nodded. "Open fire. Kill them quickly. Disable those transports and prepare boarding parties."

Horner lifted her left hand before she tapped the combadge on her chest. "Horner to McTaggert. Prepare several boarding parties and take those transports.."

The response came back. "Copy. We're on it now." as Horner grinned.

McTaggert lifted his rifle as he picked up a power cell. "Alright. Let's do this," he commented as he moved over to assist the Marines to place a large crate onto the transporter pad. "Set the detonator for ten seconds." before he backed away quickly.

"Set." and the marines backed away quickly as the transporter operator beamed the large crate over to the Klingon transport. There was silence as the Marines assembled on the pad. "Detonation complete Colonel."

"Transport us over in fifteen seconds," McTaggert responded quietly. "Set to heavy stun. Hit anything that moves," he added quietly. "Let's do this." he dropped to one knee as he raised his rifle, he knew that over two hundred marines were preparing at this very moment to board the four transport ships. "Secure prisoners and whatever they were carrying. I do not want to lose anyone on this hop." he paused.

"Energizing. Good hunting Marines" the transporter operator said loudly as he beamed the Marines to the first transport. "Alright move out. team one, with me. two and three, sweep and secure this ship. four, find and download their entire datacore. Grab everything. Move out."

The scene that greeted them was one o destruction, the transporter room had been demolished and one could see the bulkheads of the hallway beyond, the Marines moved off of the pad and out of the transporter room before they began running into the first Klingon troops.

McTaggart proceeded to gun down two Klingons guarding a large door. "Marines. Slice this door, we head in quietly." McTaggart stepped aside as one of his marines proceeded to unlock the door by accessing the terminal next to the door.

The marine nodded his head before he gave McTaggart a thumbs up. "Good to go, skipper."

McTaggart lifted his rifle before he moved forward, what he found was not what he expected. He regarded the several dozen prisoners before him. "Whats this?"

A human male came forth from among the cluster of prisoners. "I'm Jackson Antilles. You're Starfleet marines right?"

"We are.." McTaggert responded. "Get your people set up for exfil."

Antilles turned. "Come on guys. These guys are here to rescue us.". As the various prisoners began to gather for beam out, Antilles came over. "It's good to see you, Colonel."

"I wasn't expecting prisoners. To be blunt with you Mister Antilles." McTaggart responded evenly.

"We weren't expecting to be rescued," Antilles responded as he went over to the last group of prisoners that were waiting to be rescued.

McTaggert tapped his combadge. "McTaggert to Infinity. We've rescued several dozen prisoners and this ship is secured, requesting exfil now."

"Copy that." Came the response from Lt Commander Meslina Amakawa on Infinity's bridge. T'Shaamet turned to Horner. "The bridge is yours. I'm going to go and see what Gryphon has brought me," she commented before the small female rose to her feet and made her way down towards sickbay.

Meanwhile at that very moment in sickbay. Commander Tirothyn R’Shav briefed her personnel who were gathered before her. "We're expecting several dozen prisoners. We have no ideas of what to expect so expect anything and everything. Keep your eyes and ears open. Stations." and with that, her personal scattered right as a dozen personnel appeared, a marine was with them. "Step this way folks. These guys are going to check you over... Welcome to the Infinity." the marine explained quickly

R’Shav nodded. "Welcome aboard." as Antilles came over to her. "Hey, Doc... It's good to be liberated."

"I imagine the intelligence people are going to enjoy learning about this story," R'Shav commented. "We didn't expect prisoners.."

"The feeling is mutual Commander. I look forward to sharing." Antilles commented as he sat down on the bed. R’Shav ran her tricorder over his torso. "Mmm... Other than malnutrition, you seem to be in excellent health." she paused. "Weren't you former Starfleet at one point?"

Antilles nodded. "Yes. My wife still serves. I opted to get out because I wanted to spend more time with her... I was grabbed by those fools in House TeKevek and they held onto me for the last several years.." he sighed. "I can only imagine how T'Shaamet handled my disappearing. She probably hates me."

"T'Shaamet... as in Captain T'Shaamet. Otherwise known as 'Runt'. Except very affectionately?" R'Shav almost couldn't believe her ears.

"Wait. you know her...?" Antilles commented quickly. "Is she alive?" he sounded almost hopeful that she was.

"Well first, let me do a DNA test. Make sure that you are who you appear to be. Considering we've had problems with security recently." the Caitian female explained.

"Sure," Antilles responded evenly. "Go for it."

The Caitian began a detailed scan of Antilles and his upper body. "Mmm. Well according to this, you are Lt Commander Jackson Antilles. Former Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the USS Courageous." she paused. "I had no idea you were still alive Jackson. It's really good to see you again." she paused. "I did not recognize you. I apologize."

"Yeah, No worries and likewise Doctor. It's good to be seen alive. I wanna find out what happened to T'Shaamet. Do you remember her?."

"Remember her..?" R'Shav responded as the doors opened and in walked the Vulcan female that was the topic of conversation. "Of course I remember her, considering she's my commanding officer now." she indicated the small Vulcan female nearby with her left paw.

Meanwhile nearby. T'Shaamet's eyes opened wide as she regarded her lost love. "Jackson.." she whispered softly before she came over to him. "They told me you were dead." she looked up at him, her dark eyes said much as she looked at her mate.

Antilles regarded T'Shaamet. A soft smile on his face. "I thought I'd never see you again.." as he gently touched her face with his hand.

"I've been a widow for the last several years.." T'Shaamet responded quietly as she gently touched his right hand with her left hand as she thought. 'Do you remember what I taught you?'. as she regarded him in silence. 'Can you still hear my thoughts?'

Jackson smiled as he nodded. He could indeed hear her thinking. "Well... I'm home and nobody is taking me from you this time," he responded quietly. "I'm going to rejoin Starfleet to guarantee that fact."

"Good," T'Shaamet responded quietly. "I'll get started on your paperwork. After I adjust to the fact that your alive and Evoras has his dad back."

"Is he here?." Antilles asked softly.

"No. I had to leave him behind on B Kayor. A new base that was just set up by some friends of mine couldn't make it to this particular party." the small Vulcan female responded with something close to a smile. "Doctor?"

"He's in good shape Captain. I recommend a couple of good meals and nothing overly stressful but... I know you will ignore my last request.." R'Shav responded with a knowing chuckle. "Try not to hurt my patient anymore then you must," she explained. "Off with you both." as she nodded to Antilles. "Welcome back to the world of the living Commander."

Antilles smiled as he hopped off of the bed and he followed his wife out the door. "Wow. this is quite a ship you have T'Shaamet," he commented.

"Infinity is a good ship. She's older but she has it where it counts." the small Vulcan responded. "Come on. I'll show you to my place and then I need to get back to the bridge. I can't skip out in the middle of a battle. My Exec would think I'd lost my mind."

"Of course. I will not get in your way." Antilles followed her in silence. "I can ask my million questions of the ship's computer, assuming I don't trip an alarm and we can chat later after you finish what it was you were finishing. Then we can talk, after I clean up, eat a meal and take a shower."

"I appreciate that." the small Vulcan woman then smiled up at him as he was over a foot taller than she herself was as she took her leave of sickbay. Otherwise, she knew in her heart, that she would never leave.
