Mission: Mission 85: My Soul's in Arms, and Eager for the Fray
Location: Various Locations - USS Tranquility
Timeline: 0600Hrs - May 18th, 2392

Commander Siaxx Dvald was now heavily pregnant and she knew her time was rapidly running out to enjoy being pregnant before her son would be born, he would come soon.

She was busy taking a shower when she felt her water break and then the first contraction hit her. Siaxx sighed as she muttered in Bolian. "So... It has come." the small Bolian said softly in Bolari.

Dvald turned her attention back to what she was doing before she turned the water off, she then sluiced off the extra water from her frame before she stepped out of the shower.

Siaxx began drying herself off before she went into the master bedroom, she finished toweling herself off before she began to don her clothing while reminding herself that she missed the company of her wife or her husband.

Siaxx sighed softly as a contraction hit her. "I'd best get going... work and babies wait for nobody." and with that, the small Bolian tugged on her boots before she took her leave of her quarters. She made her way towards sickbay before she tapped her combadge. "Bridge, this is the Captain."

"Riken here skipper. What's up?"

"I think I'm about to have my baby now. I'll stop by sickbay-" she stopped as a wave of pain crashed over her. "Wow. I'm gonna get the medics within to look at me. Make sure all is well."

"Okay, I'll handle things up here, thanks, skipper. Riken out." and the comm went silent again.

A couple of minutes later, she walked into sickbay, before moving over to the help desk. "Hey. could I have someone take a look at me, make sure all is well... because.. I think I'm having contractions," she said to the nurse behind the desk.

"...You're having contractions and you didn't bring Jill with you?" Ennis slowly asked her as he helped set her atop the biobed before he reached for his tricorder.

"How far along am I?" Siaxx answered his question, with a question of her own. "Phoenix has been reassigned and she's not present." the small Bolian explained. "Which sucks but. I'll make so with what I have." as the two of them went into the birthing room, the nurses already present helped Siaxx get set up and within minutes, the small Bolian woman was focusing on her breathing as she waited for the contractions to come.

"What's the average time it takes to deliver, for Bolians?" Ennis asked as he came into the room. He looked at Siaxx and the baby's vitals. Pleased, for the moment.

"It's shorter then it is for human females," Siaxx explained while she focused on her breathing. "It's also not quite as abusive."

"Well you're not fully dilated, but you're close," Ennis smiled encouragingly.

Siaxx regarded Ennis. "I'll be out of here soon enough with my child in my arms." the Bolian commented evenly. "Which reminds me." as she gave him a rather evil grin. "Give Rachael my regards..."

"I shall," Ennis promised and signaled the OB nurse to keep an eye on Siaxx. "Do you want something for the pain?"

"If you two have a daughter... name her for me will ya?" Siaxx responded. "Mmm... No, I'm okay.. the pain is.. manageable... More or less." Siaxx responded in a gentle tone of voice.

"I'll let Rachel know," Ennis smiled. "You're doing very well though, Siaxx... " Ennis commented. "Its a shame that Phoenix couldn't be here for this."

"Tell me about it but it'll be okay," Siaxx responded. "Sorry, Ennis," Siaxx responded as she looked down at her legs. "Almost there..." she paused as she felt another contraction pass, like a wave of pain except she managed it as she had all of the others before it.

"You're doing great," Ennis encouraged as he held her hand through that wave of pain.

Siaxx sighed as she began pushing her baby out of her body, she breathed in and then pushed before breathing out, she then breathed back in again, but this point every moment of the experience felt like forever as she breathed and pushed and breathed some more and pushed some more.

Siaxx had squeezed her eyes closed as she gritted her teeth, feeling waves of pain lash away at her before a loud screaming sound of a baby crying interrupted her concentration. Ennis gently received the screaming infant before he severed the placental cord connecting him to his mother. "Your child is now a separate being." the nurse intoned.

Siaxx sighed softly as the nurse presented her with her Bolian child. "Do you have a name?" Ennis asked of her.

Siaxx paused as she pondered it, in truth she and Phoenix had not discussed names at all. "Heraxx Dvald," she explained. "For my first love, he was killed and he should be remembered. So.. This is how I remember him."

Ennis smiled. "Alright," he responded. "Let's get you two moved into recovery." and with that, Ennis bodily picked Siaxx up in her arms before moving her to a nearby hoverchair, he gently set her down again. "Take her to room six, everything is ready in there. Thank you, gents."

The two orderlies nodded before carrying out Ennis's request in silence.

Siaxx smiled. "Yeah..." as she gently cradled her new child in her arms as she gently regarded him. "Hello, little one... We welcome you to the world with love and affection," she said in the Bolian's native tongue.
