Mission: Mission 67: In The Service of Life and the Living
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1800Hrs - March 15th, 2392

Commodore Third Class Thomas Lasky grinned as he took in the sight before him, his wife sat next to him. "You know I can hear you thinking right?"

Lasky chuckled softly. "Am I that obvious?"

Torilla Lasky had a smile the size of a small moon. "Well that depends.." she answered in a coy tone.

"Depends on what... Wife of mine?" Lasky inquired.

"On what the native Torilla thinks of you. I doubt she would say yes... But then she has the issues my species had centuries earlier and resolved centuries before now.." Lasky responded, still smiling. "I mean what's the worst that could happen... She says yes and you impregnate her... It could always be worse right?"

"You are unbelievable... You know that?" Lasky responded, a look on incredulousness on his face. "I can't take you anywhere."

"Nope." Lasky chuckled as she indicated the door. "Oh look... it's the other you."

Thomas Lasky sighed while Commander Tom Lasky looked around, spotting his duplicate he decided to come over. "Hey guys... Is this... seat taken?"

"It is now." Torilla Lasky responded in a jovial tone. "You two look like twins."

"So do you... and Plataea and Torilla... The other one I mean."

Lasky nodded as she indicated the large mural on the wall of the three women sharing a drink together. "Duval loves it." Lasky chuckled, a smile on her lips as the door opened and in walked the Commodore.

Tom Lasky noticed, he waved his hand at her to catch her attention and flag her down.

"Zara... meet Thomas and Torilla Lasky." Tom commented evenly.

"Oh for fucksakes..." Zara spoke in exasperation. "No offense, but really? Three of you? It's very hard to deal with one Tory. Now there's three?"

Tom Lasky sighed softly. "Yes Zara... There are three of them. Do try and behave with this one. I don't need to be negotiating peace treaties between you and the people you honk off."

Thomas Lasky raised an eyebrow. "Do I dare ask?"

"No." Tom Lasky responded in response to his duplicates question.

Torilla Lasky regarded Zara Tane, an amused look in her eye. "Why... Whats wrong....the universe can handle my magnificence I am sure... Do you have issues with the ladies who share my looks and body?"

"Alpha tried to kill me once. I think Beta hit on me... No idea what you're gonna do," Zara spoke apologetically.

Torilla Lasky paused before she lifted her drink. "I do not know you... So I'm going to enjoy my lunch and then head back to the Winter Bird.." she responded in a dry tone. "Clearly you have enough drama with my doubles. So I'm going to let Torilla Yamaguchi handle you and Plataea Unal can continue to hit on you. While I watch and laugh."

Tom Lasky sighed before he facepalmed. Thomas Lasky meanwhile simply laughed.

"I think I like you more than the others," Zara admitted with surprise, glad to have a stressless Torilla to contend with.

"You've only just met me dear." Torilla responded, suddenly sounding much older then she actually was. "Wait forty years like my husband here." she indicated Thomas Lasky. "You'll get so sick of me."

Thomas Lasky chuckled softly. "You have no idea.... Get her in the mood."

At this, Torilla Lasky simply smiled. "I have ways of getting things done."

"Well... sexvids that you want distributed should go to the quartermaster. He's in charge of the ship's economy," Zara teased.

Torilla Lasky shared a look with her husband as they traded a smile. "Not quite the mood we were talking about."

Thomas Lasky chuckled softly. "Torilla isn't as sex-hungry as Plataea or the native Torilla... Considering we're over a century old."

"That sounds like an interesting story," Zara smiled, eager to learn.

Thomas chuckled softly. "Tell her"

"No. you brought it up, you tell her.... Make me do all the work while you sit on your ass and do nothing... lazy I tell you. Getting old man.."

"No older then you sparky.." Lasky responded. "Fine.. I'll explain.... Torilla here has an unhealthy fascination with guns and explosives."

"So do I," Zara smiled with mirth. "Lots of things explode in my lab."

Torilla Lasky smiled. "I make armor and swords.... in a forge..." she explained. "What... I love it." she paused. "I also make suits of armor for warfare."

"I'm working on a suit of armor myself... more modern though," Zara sighed happily. "Not ready for unavailing yet. Repulsors are still explosive."

Lasky nodded her head. "Do you have a personal shield system... without that, you are wasting your time.." she inquired bluntly.

"I do, but I've not tested it yet. I'm still trying to solve the power fluctuations in the avionic thrusters," Zara spoke casually. "Flight program works well. In so far as accepting the path I lay-on. But the machine part is still a bit behind."

"The machine part will always be behind until you get the suit finished." The female Lasky responded with a smile. "Just make sure the armor is comfortable to wear otherwise its worth nothing to anyone."

"I shall," Zara promised. "Using the same alloy on the suit to make a personal shield for me. Handy for when funny things occur here."

Torilla Lasky regarded the smaller woman. "Well... I can assist you... if you want." she commented. "I make Akurian armor often... so making something for the Federation isn't a huge leap for me."

"I may actually let you help," Zara agreed. "Tom might wanna check the lab first though.... I tend to blow things up."

The two Tom Lasky's both facepalmed at the same time. Torilla chortled in amusement.

"Engineers tinker. Scientists experiment... So I tinker a little too much, sometimes," Zara explained.

"I think you enjoy blowing things up a little too often." Tom Lasky responded. "Sometimes I think you do it on purpose. I still recall that incident with you and Saki... I don't think Rachael will ever forgive you for that one."

"Rachael?" Torilla asked.

"Daughter of the Torilla that's native to this reality... Its a wonder Torilla hasn't gone completely grey already.." Tom Lasky explained.

"Saki may turn her mother's hair grey at this rate," Zara snickered.

Tom Lasky nodded. "Assuming she doesn't try to hurt you first."

Meanwhile as if she had been summoned through time and space, the doors opened and in walked Rachael Yamaguchi, wearing her engineering duty uniform, she looked around and she noticed Zara in the room, as she frowned at the smaller woman but she didn't say anything before she went over to the bar. She was intent on ordering something to eat and nobody was going to stop her.

Torilla Lasky noticed. "That's... Rachael?"

"Yep." Tom Lasky responded.

"I uh... may have accidentally done something foolish an' almost put Saki in danger," Zara spoke nervously.

Tom Lasky added. "Several times.." in a dry tone of voice.

Torilla Lasky smiled. "Oh my... I can hear her emotions... Oh she's not a happy woman.."

"Don't blame her. I was a bit of an idiot. Not used to taking care of kids. So I guess I just treated the kid too much like an adult about some things," Zara spoke apologetically.

Tom Lasky simply facepalmed. "I worry for the future of my child.."

Thomas Lasky smiled. "It don't worry about it.. I think Zara Tanes act is just that.. an act.. She may yet surprise you.."

Tom Lasky was unconvinced of this. "We shall see..."
