Posted on Thu Mar 5th, 2020 @ 6:22am by Fleet Admiral Dominique Jes-Tereth

Mission: Mission 59: Stirrings of Treason
Location: Council Chambers - Kronos, OMEGA LEONIS
Timeline: 1430Hrs - Feb 8th, 2392

Councilor B'Vat entered the great hall about the same time as the Council was recalled for the afternoon session, there was no sign of the Chancellor. This by itself was not unusual as Ku'tor had shown almost no respect for the rituals and responsibilities of the post of Chancellor and leader of the High Council.

"Aww he's probably fucking some whore and forgot the time." muttered someone.

B'Vat scowled as he moved forward towards where the private residences of the Chancellor were located but he expected the two bodyguards of the Yan-Isleth, also known as the Brotherhood of the Sword in the Federation.

"Stand aside. I am to see the Chancellor." B'Vat growled at them.

The larger of the two bodyguards was unamused. "That maybe so my lord.. But the Chancellor has decided that none my interrupt him." he shrugged like he did not care.

"Stand aside or there will be violence." B'Vat tired of this debate. "Now!"

The two Klingon men stood aside as B'Vat entered the Chancellors private chambers, he went into the office where he encountered a scene from Klingon folklore. "Guards!" B'Vat roared loudly, expecting to be obeyed right this instant.

A dozen or so Klingons charged into the room. "In Kahless's name.. What has happened in here." demanded General Makar.

"Big demands from you... You all but challenged him." B'Vat responded with a soft growl.

"Because he insulted my houses honor... But I was in orbit, taking to my Chief of Engineers.." Makar responded, dismissing the tone the Counselor took with him.

B'Vat noted the tone in the room as he realized that any one of these men and women could have arranged this assassination. "We will need a new Chancellor and as I was the original Arbiter of Succession for him.. I nominate myself for Chancellor."

Nobody moved as B'Vat should have nominated an Arbiter first rather then go for the post of Chancellor directly. "You simply cannot be serious... Others here had nothing to do with this... Did you!?" Makar spoke up.

"No I did not. You dare insult me so!" B'Vat responded.

"You know that this is not the proper way of doing things..." insisted Ah'Begh. "I challenge you for the leadership.."

B'Vat sighed as he knew there was only one way now to settle matters of state. "Very well but outside.. Away from.. This.." he indicated the larger large scatterings of blood all over the carpet. "Someone get this mess cleaned up!" B'Vat ordered loudly before he led the other Klingons around them back into the main chamber.

Ah'Begh smiled as he was goign to kill B'Vat one way or another.
