Departures - Part One

Mission: Mission 40: Thirty Pieces of Silver
Location: Various Locations - USS Tranquility
Timeline: 1300Hrs - August 6th, 2391

Flight Tech First Class Rachael "Firebird" Yamaguchi looked up at Ennis. "Hey..." she smiled softly. "When I get back... we can make wedding plans... but don't think you can't make them without me..." she smiled up at him.

"You sure you don't want your family here to see you off?" Ennis asked with genuine concern.

"No... I said goodbye to mom and dad earlier... same with Saki and the like." she explained. "I see no reason to drag Saki down here to say goodbye to her again."

"She's been through enough," Ennis agreed. "I will make it my top priority to help her settle in with the kids and me while you're gone, Lass."

Rachael smiled up at him. "I appreciate that... " she sighed softly. "I wish I wasn't leaving but... Warrant school shouldn't be too bad.. I'm worried about Saki though.." she paused. "you ever thought of having more kids because... I am."

"I would love to have more... when the time is right, Lass," Ennis agreed before he kissed Rachael on the cheek.

Rachael smiled. "When I get back... We can work on it.." she smiled up at him. "I'd best go... time wait for nobody and... I don't want to be late.... besides the sooner I leave, the sooner I can come back."

"We'll be here if you need us, My Love," Ennis promised as a sad smile, for he did not want her to go.

"I know." Rachael smiled as she gently kissed him on the lips. A kiss that rapidly turned passionate. "I don't wanna go but... the sooner I go, the sooner I can come back to you.." and with that she stepped up on the pad. She nodded to the transporter chief. "Till we meet again My Liege-Lord." as she was beamed over to the Starbase.

"Be safe," he spoke in half-mourning, for he was going to miss her a lot.
