Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - May 18th, 2391

Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi was presently sitting in the Green Dragon, it was a quiet evening as he was presently looking out the window. "Here's to ya lads..." he muttered. "My brothers and sisters who fell at Coridan.."

"Aww who gives a shit about fucking ancient battles..."

Yamaguchi turned his head as he spotted one of several Marines who was running his mouth. "You wanna say that... again... junior.."

"Sure old man.." the cocky marine got up and came over to Jake who merely hopped off his barstool. "Stop crying about-" was as far as he got before Jake hauled off and dropped him with one blow.

Jake smiled. "Anyone else?" as he looked at the three remaining Marines. "Well come on guys... this isn't a spectator sport.."

The three marines all leapt up and rushed Jake, before Fives came into the brewing fight and within seconds, the bar had exploded into a free for all.

"I like this place.." Jake commented.

Olga picked up her beer and moved into a corner. She didn't want to lose her new chevrons but she didn't want to miss the fight either.

Jake caught a stool out of midair before he simply brought it down one one of the Marines who was being mouthy earlier, they heard something snap as this second Marine dropped to the deck.

Olga noticed the two older guys holding their own against several marines. She was impressed they could fight that well. She was also a little disappointed her marines were losing a fist fight.

There were now six marines against Jake and Fives, both men they were now outnumbered and they would soon be out matched, meanwhile most of the other people in the Green Dragon all fled before the monster named Duval would show up.

Duval emerged from his office as he watched the last few remaining people settle in to watch the fight as he recognised Fives but he was surprised to see the Admiral involved as well.

Jake and Fives were standing back to back as the eight of them continued to fight off the Marines. "Whats the Matter junior... had enough?" Jake inquired. "You guys can leave anytime."

Olga picked up a stool and started swinging it at the marines. "If you guys want to fight let's do this right!" She shouted like a maniac.

Fives chuckled. "Girl after my own heart.." as he watched the four marines all turn to counter this new threat, Jake followed her with a smile on his face. "come then dogs.."

The lead marine went for Olga as he smacked her across the face, Jake then punched him once.

Olga spit blood out of her mouth. She smashed the stool across the marines shoulder, shattering the furniture. She then roundhouse kicked another marine in the gut. A third marine picked up Olga from behind and threw her to the deck. The fourth marine joined the third as they started to beat the prone woman.

Fives snarled as he went into the fray as he grabbed one of them before throwing him over the table, before turning to deal with the last guy as he grabbed him by the throat as he threw him to the deck and then he proceeded to start beating on the man. "I'm gonna fucking kill you!" Fives screamed, blood roaring in his ears as he proceeded to mash up the one marine on the deck before Jake reached in and hauled Fives off of the Marine who was now totally senseless.

Fives turned and bashed Jake in the chest with his fists as Jake grunted before he hauled off and punched Fives back. "Enough!. Godmmmit Fives... snap out of it.... see to her while I see to... him."

Fives growled as he went to tend to Olga. "Hey... you okay?"

Duval sighed as he tapped his combadge. "Duval to security and medical, fight in the Green Dragon, send personel and medics... one down with three injuries."

Jake looked at the Marine who was out cold but who had his face smashed in by a wild animal. "Jeez Fives... you really hurt this guy... and for.. what?.."

"I didn't kill him... " Fives responded.

"Fives... seriously... I think you've lost your way...." Jake sighed softly.

Olga sat up and spit out more blood. "Well, I can still see alright." Olga stated. "My whole body is in pain so probably no nerve damage."

"Alright... hold still.." he quickly gave her the once over. "Don't try to move.. the medics are coming.."

Yamaguchi checked the downed Marine as the second got up. "You... are a fucking animal.. you're unsta-"

"Shut the fuck up. you little bitch.... you and your buddies got clowned because you had to go run your mouth." Fives hopped to his feet and advanced on the Marine who stood before him.

Duval came over. "Marine, go over there and shut up or I'll break you myself.." he growled. "I'm going to have a word with the Major. no more jarheads are permitted in here.... and Fives... same with you..."

"I'll survive.."

Yamaguchi turned as the doors opened and in came three medical officers and Lieutenant John Sheridan. "What happened in here?"

Yamaguchi was the one who answered. "A couple of marines objected to us thinking about 'ancient battles.', in this case.. the battle of Coridan."

Sheridan raised an eyebrow. "Indeed... Hmmm... My father fought there...Captain of the USS Lionheart."

"Ahh.." Jake then smiled. "You okay sarge?" he addressed Olga who was being tended to by one of the medics.

"I'll probably need an exam at sickbay but I should be alright." Olga then grimaced "Other than being in pain."

Yamaguchi nodded as he watched the medics stabilize the badly wounded marine. "Fives, walk the sergeant to sickbay... and take a deep breathe and calm down... would ya... "

Olga struggled to stand up. "I think I'm good." Olga told Jake. She took a couple of steps then fell sideways and caught herself on a table before she could hit the ground. "Okay, maybe I need help."

Fives caught her left hand as he gently pulled her back to her feet. "Hey... Let me help.." he paused as it was clear he wasn't used to doing anything for anyone. "You think you can walk... or do you want me to carry you?"

"I think something is wrong with my knee." Olga told him. "I think you better carry me."

Fives regarded her, as he gently picked her up in his arms. "Okay..." he responded quietly before he gently held her, one arm behind her shoulders with the other one under her knees, before he turned and strode out of the lounge.

Yamaguchi watched him go in silence.

"So, your a flight wing commander?" Olga asked.

"I am... yes." Fives responded quietly. "The work is lousy... I've... lost my taste for it.."

"Oh, well that's too bad." Olga told Fives. "When is the last time you had some vacation?"

Fives regarded Olga. "Far too long... I miss home to be honest... the cold of the Denevan Mountains... My kin..."

"Forgive me for being a little ignorant but I'm not familiar with Denevan." Olga told Fives.

"Another version of the Himalayan Mountains from Earth... the monks of Tibet." he paused. "The Shaolin monks.... my order resides on Deneva..."

"Well that explains the cold." Olga replied. "I'm from the colony on Narva VII. I'd be very surprised if you ever heard of that little world. It was almost always covered in ice except for during the brief summer."

Fives shook his head. "No... I'm sorry." he responded. "Tell me about it?" he inquired of her, he seemed to have no issues carrying her down the hallway, it was almost as it she weighed in at only five or ten pounds.

Olga laughed. "I think I just did. There is not much more to add." Olga told Fives. "So, why did you come back to Star Fleet?"

"We were under attack by the Borg..." he responded. "I felt I couldn't skip out on that fight... so I came back..." he sighed. "I might as well not have bothered for all the good I did... which was very little."

"I think you've done more than you think." Olga replied. "The whole fighter corp on this ship was a mess. You pulled them back together and they took apart the Romulan fighters."

"I wasn't alone for that.." he sighed softly. "I had plenty of help... I had Phoenix, Wukari and a few others...helping out with that... but I hated the paperwork... endless, all consuming and trivial."

"Phoenix is a mess. The only reason she keeps her wings is because she has rank." Olga told Fives. "Wukari is decent but you did all the heavy lifting to get the fighter wing working. That's why your burned out."

Fives reached his destination, a turbolift, he gently tapped the call button and he settled in to wait. "I did sink a lot of hours into the project. Phoenix was pregnant for all that time.... and Wukari was taken out of the picture by a crazed idiot of a pilot.. I had no choice but to step up."

"So you essentially did the job of three people." Olga told Fives. "And you wonder why your burnt out?"

"I need a vacation.. but it worked... we have a functioning air wing and real people in real planes doing real work.... and I can get a break.." Fives sighed softly. "Sickbay..." the lift started moving.

"So I think your being too hard on yourself." Olga told him. "Were you really that content as a civilian?"

"Honestly... I was... my life was a simple one, spending time in my forge... making weapons and armor.."

"Really? You know we do have replicators?" Olga jokingly asked.

"I seem to recall those... yes." he responded with a smile.

"Do you think you could return to such a life?" Olga asked.

"I could... Yes.." he admitted. "It would be easier then getting up and doing a thankless task..." he paused. "This will be my last tour in Starfleet... I think I'm done.."

Olga became a little more serious. "I would really think about that. You can go back to the monastery, you can't always come back to Star Fleet. And you cannot as a pilot your time is really limited."

"I know.... I'm not sure of what to do..." Fives admitted. "I don't enjoy flying anymore... and dealing with stupid people every day has left me worn out.."

"Sounds like you need some time off to think things through." Olga suggested.

"Well.. we are orbiting a planet..." Fives responded. "Why not..."

"Better than making a rash decision you will regret later." Olga stated. "Trust me on that one."

"Alright..." Fives smiled at her as she doors opened and they stepped out, him still carrying her, as they went down the hall and into sickbay. "Doctor?"

Siaxx Dvald turned and came over. "What happened here?"

"Knee issues.. We just came from-"

"Yes, the Green Dragon. I know.." Siaxx responded. "Bring the lady over here... and you are sticking around too."

"I'm thinking I just need a few bandages and a shot for the pain in my knee." Olga told Siaxx.

Siaxx regarded the woman who was twice her size. "Oh really..?" she inquired. "Fives... please set her on the biobed, I want to have my way with her first.."

"Siaxx... I had no idea you liked it in public." Fives responded in a dry tone.

"Yes well... living with Phoenix has taught me that I must embrace my animal side more often..." she smiled. "Have you hugged your Toshnarr today?" she opened her medkit. "Lets see... lube.. sex toys... Mmm... this looks promising... " as she produced her tricorder. "Now... lets see what ails you."

"I didn't know sickbay was so much fun." Olga stated.

"Oh...To work in sickbay, you need to be at least, deranged." Siaxx responded as she ran the tricorder over Olga's body. "Yep. wreaked knee.. and various muscle strains ... Hold still. I need to operate."

"Need to operate?" Olga stated a little surprised. "It can't be that bad."

"Your knee is damaged..." Siaxx responded, no emotion in her voice. "This is going to take awhile... Nurse.?"

Elizabeth Yamaguchi came over. "Doctor.?"

"Help me with this.... some clown kicked the sergeant in the leg, doing some damage to her knee, I need to reset the various ligaments, a few are torn..."

"Right." Elizabeth regarded the sergeant. "Shall we?"

Fives meanwhile made himself comfortable in a chair next to Olga. "I'm not going anywhere..."

"It seems that I'm not going anywhere too." Olga pouted. "I wanted to sleep this off."

"Don't worry... you'll be fine." Siaxx responded. "At least Fives is here..."

Fives regarded the two women. "Yep..."

Olga had a thin smile. "I've never had a field grade officer look after me before."

"Thats alright.." Fives responded quietly. "I never had anyone to take care of before.." he added quietly, as he settled into the chair.

Elizabeth and Siaxx both went to work on the sargents knee as the small Bolian gently sedated the larger woman.

"Wow, sedation gives you a better high than booze." Olga told the women. "Before I lose consciousness I want to say thanks Fives."

"Your welcome Olga... Sleep well." Fives responded quietly.
