Mission: Mission 31: The Ashes of Eden
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1900Hrs - March 31st, 2391

Teval looked at the Viewscreen of the Warbird T'kara as they approached their target, while Kurso went over their plan of attack. Placing a bunch of holoemitters on the table he commented," O.k. all of you will be wearing holoemitters to make you guys look and scan as Romulans, so that way it will look like a Romulan attack. We also have a large number of mobile holographic emitters, that will be used to create Emergency Tactical Holograms, that are configured to look like Romulans."

"How many we got," Teval asked.

"Over a hundred," Kurso replied.

Teval looked at the team. In addition to Carl, Hayaka, Varkon, and himself, his three other former Teammates, Jessica Sanchez, Gabriel Sanchez, and Hiyoshi Tokaru where there. Teval then looked back at Kurso, saying," well, at least that takes care of our numbers issue."

Kurso nodded," And they will be the ones up in front, taking the brunt of he abuse, they are programmed to play dead once they get hit, so no one thinks that they are holograms. But you guy will be wearing the newest personal shield generators that we have. However do try not to get hit, so as to not attract attention, but also keep in mind, once we have Seykai and all of you safely back on the ship, we will destroy the Cardassian vessel, that way it looks like a genuine Romulan attack."

"No mercy huh," Hakaya commented quietly."

Kurso shook his head, "Nope, no quarter will be given on this mission."

Jessica Sanchez smiled, "Good enough for me, not like obsidian order knows the concept anyway, more of these bastards are dead, the better."

Kurso simply continued with his briefing, "Once we drop the Galor classes shields, we will beam numerous plasma grenades onto their bridge, then one they detonate, we will beam in a strike team consisting of Jessica and Gabriel, plus a dozen combat holograms onboard to secure the bridge, and lock out all command functions. You will then locate Seykai and relay that too us. At the same time, we will beam stun grenades into engineering, in which, Varkon and Carl with more holograms will secure engineering. Teval and Hakaya, you two will then beam aboard with the rest of the holograms to secure Seykai and neutralize any resistance. Wherever you call for it, we will beam grenades in to knock out anyone that gives you too much trouble. All in all, I want this op to take no more than ten minutes from the time that T'kara fires the first shot to the time that we destroy that scrapheap."

Everyone present nodded while the ships tactical officer announced," We will be on them in less than 5 minutes."

Kurso looked at his team, saying, "Alright, get ready."

Teal grabbed his holoemitter then proceeded to inspect his weapon, a Romulan disruptor rifle. After checking the weapon he then readied he personal shield generator and grabbed a belt of grenades, both plasma and stun, and went to transporter room 3 with Hakaya where a bunch of emergency tactical holograms reconfigured to look like Romulans where waiting.

Kurso watched as the T'kara approached their target. once they got close enough he asked," Whats their status."

The tactical officer replied with," Shields are up, and their weapons are armed."

"Figures," Kurso mumbled to himself. He wasn't surprised, since the Galor was traveling through pretty hostile territory. He himself sat at the ships helm, with their crew shortage, he couldn't spare a dedicated helmsman so he simply did the job himself. At that point he gave a series of orders," Lock weapons on target."

the tactical officer nodded," Weapons locked."

"Target Warp drive,... Decloak, and fire."

With little warning, the T'kara disengaged cloak, and the tactical officer promptly unleashed a volley flux plasma torpedoes. Galor Class ships had notoriously weak rear shields, so the five flux plasma torpedoes fired went through with ease. The first three dropped their rear shields, while the last two struck the tail section where their warp drive was located. The hit succeed in destroying the ships warp drive, causing it to fall out of warp.

Kurso quickly issued his next set of commands, "Drop us out of warp, focus our firing passes at dropping their rear and forward shields, that way we got a clear path for the transporters."

The T'kara dropped out as well, commenced a turn, and began to open fire with disruptors, concentrating on the hooded section of the Galor where their bridge was located. The surprised Galor began to return fire, but it was sporadic. Another six torpedoes and a full volley of disruptor fire severely weakened their dorsal shields, at which Kurso brought the ships rear torpedoes facing the Galor, unleashing another volley of six, and more disruptor fire. he then executed a quick turn, and brought the forward arcs back into firing angle and unleashed more disruptor fire, while the torpedoes where reloaded. However, there was no need to use them, as the Galor maneuvered rather clumsily and failed to keep T'kara from focusing on their dorsal shields. The next volley of disruptor fire collapsed their dorsal shields, upon which Kurso gave the order," Beam the grenades in now."

A very surprised Cardassian Gul saw the grenades materialize, and barely had enough time to vainly throw his hands up covering his face as the grenades all detonated. Seconds later Gabriel and Jessica beamed onto the bridge, with a team of holograms. Jessica promptly swung into action, checking the bridge crew, all but the Gul was dead, while the Gul laid on the floor, dying. With one working eye, he stared at the Romulan in front of him, and gasped, "you Romulan whore, you will pay."

Jessica coldly raided her rifle, and promptly put the Gul out of his misery, while Gabriel went to the command console and looked for their target. After finding him, she reported to Kurso, "He is right where we expected him to be, in the interrogation chambers."

Kurso nodded, "Very well, upload the virus."

Gabriel wasted no time in uploading a computer virus which proceeded to lock down the computer core, and it deactivated all forcefields and security systems, as well as disabling command functions.

Meanwhile, in engineering, numerous stun grenades materialized before the engineering crew could react, and seconds after detonation, Varkon and Carl materialized, along with their security holograms, which proceeded to mercilessly slaughter the Cardassian engineering crew. A few managed to get of wild shots, but no Cardassian fire managed to connect with anything. In less than 30 seconds, Varkon and Carl had Engineering secured.

In the interrogation chambers, further stun grenades materialized, disabling the Cardassian security crew present, and within seconds, Hakaya, Teval, and all the remaining tactical holograms materialized, again, they mercilessly gunned down the Cardassians. Neither Teval nor Hakaya spoke as they moved through the cambers, checking each room, and gunning down any Cardassian they saw, armed or not. at the fourth room, a Cardassian interrogator came out, and opened fire, striking two holograms, before being shot himself by a third.

Teval and Hakaya moved into the room, and there on the table, laid Seykai Ferian, a small Kiva Kurokuri. Teval carefully but quickly moved to free the disoriented Seykai, prompting him to say quietly," Great, from Cardassians to Romulans, what am I some prize now."

Something like that," Teval replied as he released all the restraints, then hit his combadge, saying," Beam us up."

Kurso watched from the bridge as they retrieved all their tactical teams, and then once they where aboard, he gave the order," Open fire."

The ships tactical officer gave a small sigh, then hit a few commands, as the T'kara opened up with disruptors. The unshielded Galor absorbed numerous hits, as they burnt away hull armor and exposed the decks to open space, until one finally struck the antimatter pods, triggering an explosion that tore the ship apart. Kurso nodded, then commanded," O.K. Engage the cloak and take us to the rendezvous point."

Seykai was barely able to stand, forcing Teval to put his arm over his shoulder and take him to sickbay. It was then that Seykai noticed that the crew was starfleet, and not Romulan like he expected. Seykai then looked at Teval, finally noticing the holoemitter, prompting him to say,"Well, I guess Kurso came after all huh."

Teval nodded and deactivated the holoemitter," Yep, we all came."

Seykai didn't say anything more as he was brought to sickbay, where Kurso was already waiting. Placing him on the bed, Kurso commented," Well unfortunately, we only have one medic on board, so he will have to get full treatment on Roanoke."

Teval nodded as the medic came over and tended to Seykai, he then said," I guess you couldn't put together a full crew huh."

Kurso shook his head," On such short notice, I only was able to pull together about 40 people, so we are quite shorthanded right now."

Yeah I can tell," Teval replied as he looked at the badly abused Seykai. The diminutive little Kiva Kurokuri had multiple open, bleeding wounds, and several more bruises, and that's just what Teval could see. He figured that Seykai had far more serious internal injuries as well.

Kurso then added," Also Teval, Seykai is going to be staying on Roanoke for the next few months, at least. I think that I have several enemy agents within my department, and if i take him back to starfleet intelligence, the order will find out. He needs to stay off the Roanoke's records though, they can't find out he is there."

Teval gave Kurso a worried looks, "Are the usual safe houses compromised.

Kurso nodded," Most likely, I don't know whats going on, but someone is up to something, I don't know if its related, but this has also been the most active political year I have ever seen, more political scandals that I have ever seen in my life have popped up in this one year, and more incumbents are getting forced out of office. I don't know for sure, maybe i am just being paranoid."

Teval shrugged," Well, you are paranoid, but that comes with the job, but yeah I've been noticing that its been getting messy out there. But anyway, yeah, I don't think Captain Tane will mind keeping him of the records on Roanoke for a few months.
