Taking Off

Mission: Mission 27: Into the Jungle
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - February 19th, 2391

Teval and Hakaya walked onto the runabout where Saki Kishimoto already was, with Varkon behind them carrying some of their things. Ordinarily Teval wouldn't ask someone else to carry his stuff, but with two of his children in his arms and one in Hakaya's he didn't have much of a choice..

Petty Officer Second Class Saki Kishimoto smiled. "Now they are just adorable.." she noticed the children in Commander Teval's arms.

Just the doors opened and in came Rachael Yamaguchi, followed by Siaxx Dvald. both women had a couple of duffel bags with them. "So you alright with flying us there?"

"Oh sure..." Rachael responded. "Flying from here to Deneva... its not far and the place is quite well patrolled by various Federation ships.." the teen answered. "We shouldn't have any issues."

Teval nodded, " As long as we don't run into the random swirly thingy's that plague this galaxy"

"Yes they do tend to pop up with alarming frequency, tends to make life long and dull or short and exciting." Rachael commented as she went aboard the runabout, partly to lay claim to a bunk and also to take five minutes to prepare the Runabout for departure.

Aerin and Karryn both arrived while Teval said to Varkon," Thanks for the help, your good now."

"See you when you get back," The massive brikar replied as he left the runabout.

Siaxx turned to Saki. "Come on... lets go on aboard."

"Okay." the taller human woman smiled as she followed the Bolian aboard. "So.. any ideas what they are going to be discussing at this conference?"

Siaxx simply shrugged. "No idea... but I was invited.. I thought you could use a break.. so you're my plus one. Rachael wants to sunbathe and catch some sun on a beach... and probably meet someone new... so she can experience sex on a beach at the same time.."

Rachael, who was at the conn. "I heard that.... Siaxx... you are such a horn dog."

Teval shook his head, while Hakaya said," you people and your obsession with sex, is it possible for you to think of anything else."

Siaxx shrugged. "Sometimes.." she then smiled. "kidding... for some its a taboo while others enjoy it all the time." the Bolian explained as she turned and went into the back to claim a bunk for herself, she cane back up front a few minutes later as she settled into the Operations chair with a Large paperback book. It was titled 'The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring."

Siaxx opened the first page and started reading.

Rachael finished her preflight. "We're officially read to deploy..." she commented. "Teval... would you mind getting us clearance?"

Teval nodded and handed Nuyari off to Aerin, while he got clearance. "Ok, we are good to go."

Rachael smiled as she activated the USS Tolken's systems. "and away we go... " she commented as she cleared the Main Hanger and they had the shipyard which they soon cleared shortly.

A few minutes later they cleared the star's gravity well and Rachael engaged the warp drive, the stars then suddenly began to elongate as the small ship increased her speed drastically. "Speed... Warp Six...."
