I, Torilla

Posted on Thu Feb 27th, 2020 @ 1:01pm by Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi & Commodore Siaxx "Bluemoon" Dvald-Vaxx MD

Mission: Mission 19: Taking out the Garbage
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1100Hrs - December 24th, 2390

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi walked into sickbay as she spotted the tiny Bolian woman she had come to see. "Hey Siaxx.... is she?"

"Torilla, holy fuck girl.... they let you loose from your gilded cage.."

"Yeah... is Zara about?"

"Such as she is..." she indicated the recovery room. "Go on in..."

Torilla went into the room to find Zara sitting on the biobed, eating a banana.

Those deep brown eyes of Tane's were vacant. Confused. The inclination to eat bananas were very strong and for some reason, she could not piece altogether what happened. What she wanted most was to climb a tree and piss on the folks that annoyed her most. But these.... weird beings in blue kept making her sit or lay on her bed.

When her eyes rested on Torilla, Tane tried to say hello. What came out was a high-pitched, "Eeee!"

Torilla sighed softly before she sat down on the bed, she gently placed her hand on the other woman's shoulder as she thought about peace and trust. "I can help you."

Tane's head tilted left, then right and repeated that pattern while munching on her banana. The confusion was heavy in her eyes and face, but she seemed to be calmed by Torilla's tone.

As if a gesture of peace, Zara passed her half-eaten piece of fruit to Torilla. "Eee."

Torilla gently accepted the fruit as a smile graced her lips, before she gently took a bite from it as she gently entered Zara's mind, she could see the damage that Elizabeth had done as she removed the issue. "Be yourself..... and feel restored again Zara..... you are Zara Tane, Captain of the USS Roanoke.... and my friend... return to yourself..." as she gently began putting Zara's memories back together while removing what her daughter had done.

"Tane...." Zara tried that out. It felt right, but slightly distant in her mind. Eventually, she nodded, took a bite of her banana, and then offered another bite to Torilla.

Torilla gently accepted the banana. "Oh Zara.." she said softly. "She really mauled you good.." she added quietly before she gently rubbed Zara's shoulder. "Come on back to me..."

Zara's vacant eyes slowly focused. And then her emotions came. Tears.

"Torilla?" Zara finally asked. Logic and thought was returning, and the realization of what she had been turned into, made her feel extremely vulnerable.

Torilla gently gathered the smaller woman into her arms. "Come here honey." and with that she gently cradled the smaller woman. "I'm here... it'll be okay." she did this often enough for her children and she would do this for her friend. "I'm sorry this happened to you Zara... I will make sure she pays for this..."

"OK," Zara nodded and spent a long time formulating her next sentence. "Thank you for being my... friend."

"Shh.." Torilla gently soothed the frazzled woman. "Its gonna be okay..."

Zara offered Torilla more of her banana as she looked around. She wanted to know how long she had been there. And where the delinquent was. Articulating all that seemed very hard for her to ask though.

"You've been here since last night... my daughter assaulted you, making you think you were a monkey." the larger woman explained. "She's in the brig... Commander Teval arrested her." she added as she gently took a small bite of the banana. "It'll be okay Zara, I'll help you find your way back..."

"It's all.... fuzzy." Zara tapped her head to imply as much and took another bite of her fruit. "She's hurt inside too."

"It'll be alright honey.. I'm going to enter your mind.... help you straighten things out.." and with that Torilla gently entered Zara's mind, she gently began repairing the damage.

Zara wanted to tell Torilla that Elizabeth was hurting. That while Zara was very angry with the girl, she did not blame the kid. But thinking it and saying it were two very different things. So all she could do was look up into Torilla's eyes.

Torilla smiled. "I understand." she whispered. "It'll be okay... we are one mind... Lean on me, use my strength to help you heal..."

"I hate this," Zara sniffed and nuzzled into Torilla's chest like a frightened child.

"It'll be alright...I'm here..." she gently soothed the other woman.

"Why?" Zara asked aloud. She wanted to know why Elizabeth went this low.

"She felt you were a danger to her... a danger to my marriage to my husband." Torilla responded. "Jake knows you're sleeping with me, he's okay with it... he knows you're not threat.. hell he likes you."

"She... should hear it... from both of you," Zara spoke slowly, as she pieced her sentence together. Lots of concern in her voice.

Torilla nodded. "Okay... it'll be done... I'll contact Jake with Elizabeth in the room and we'll discuss it."

"You're a good... friend," Zara smiled up at Torilla. She was finding it easier to put sentences together now. A bit slow still. But she could honestly feel Trill again.

"Considering how we met... I expected us to be enemies.." Torilla commented with smile. "But... I'm glad we're friends....and I'm not going anywhere..."

Zara offered Torilla the last of her banana as she looked around the room. "I got to get this ship... back in order soon."

"Let Teval handle it until you are able to do it." Torilla responded. "He's got things in hand.... or in paw for now... unless something else happens.."

"I fucked him," Zara spoke aloud, with wide eyes of shock at that.

"Yeah... I know." Torilla gently touche the other woman's cheek. "Zara... we still have a mental link...wait... you have a second psionic barrier... Elizabeth... what the hell did you...." her eyes widened. "No... Zara... someone else mindfucked you..."

"Eee?" Zara put her hands to her mouth as she did not intend to let out that monkey call.

Torilla regarded Tane. "You have a second telepathic block inside your mind..." she paused. "I need your permission to remove it..." she explained gently.

"Do it," Zara spoke with unease.

Torilla paused as she gently pressed at the block. "Mmm... this was placed by a formidable telepath.." she looked at Zara. "I don't know whats behind this...do you want me to remove it?" she asked softly.

"If you can," Zara spoke skeptically.

"I can..." she paused as she gently gathered her strength then she removed the telepathic block with sheer force of will.

"I..." Zara struggled to find words. She knew the people involved in the memory.

A young teen, Zara was. She had walked in at the very end of an argument between the gang's leader and his girlfriend. A very pregnant, very pretty woman. Zara had liked her a lot, and recalled a false memory of her dying in childbirth.

Thing was, this memory was far more real. The pregnant woman, stabbed in the belly. Simply because her boyfriend thought she was sleeping with his lieutenant.

And in one quick swoop, someone backhanded Zara so fast she was knocked out before the young teen could register the horror of the crime.

"Iria..." Zara covered her mouth as she recalled the beauty of chestnut hair. Blue eyes, and memories of the young woman feeding Zara cookies every time she came to the gang's base with a bag full of stolen goods.

"I'm here." Torilla's voice sounded distant and far away as if from the other side of a great chasm. "I'm still with you..." Torilla could see what was going on through their connection.

Zara nodded and instead, concentrated on Torilla's mind. It was better than having to process that memory anyway.

"It'll be okay Zara." Torilla sounded closer.
