Mission: Mission 17: The Drug-Dimmed Tide
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1100Hrs - December 12th, 2390

Teval walked into engineering looking for the chief engineer, and noticing that it was quite dark. It didn't take long for him to find Ra'Vak, as Ra'Vak was still wearing the afro from yesterday. Ra'Vak noticed Teval and Said," Oh hey commander, holy crap you are cute, so what brings you to the circus."

Teval commented dryly," I'm currently the Temporary XO, and I am here to check on the crew mainly. The captain thinks you all are insane."

Ra'Vak smiled as Sparky yelled at something from inside one of the jefferies tubes, and the sound of sparking wires could be heard. A loud rumbling sound could be heard as the ventilation systems reengaged. Ra'Vak commented as Teval looked down the tube curiously," Well, I have a hard time disagreeing with the captain on that assessment.

"Mind if I take a look around," Teval commented.

"Nah," Ra'Vak shrugged.

Teval looked around engineering, talking to various crew members, generally getting to know the people around, after about an hour of talking, Teval figured, that even though the crew certainly had their quirks, they where competent and that the only real problem seems to be a lack of decent equipment. Though Teval had to agree with Zara that the Crew didn't seem to be all there, when he saw Ra'Vak and several other engineers singing songs to the warp core.

Then the hail came form the bridge.

Moni Nasao blinked Teval, before she decided to contact Captain Tane as well. "Uh... Bridge to the Captain and the Exec... I see pink Elephants that are flying...wait... one of them just defecated all over the Captain's chair...and we have flowers on the bridge..." she paused as she waved her hand across her line of sight. "Now that's sooo cool..."

Teval was completely speechless and judging by Ra'Vak's completely confused look, he heard it was well. All Teval could manage is "What.... The.... Fuck..."

He left engineering and went to the bridge. Zara eventually walked up by his side, after talking to one of the science officers. Convinced that there were massive tribbles cooing in the overhead lab lights.

"I told you they were an odd bunch, in engineering," Zara laughed, though her eyes were a tad glassy.

Teval blinked in confusion, but he said, "Yeah, they know what they are doing, but they aren't all there. The Chief.... Was singing songs to the warp core."

Zara shivered upon that bit of information, "My engineers need to be sent to a funny farm."

The situation on the bridge, when they got there was utter chaos. Immediately smelling some awful smell, Teval quickly pinched down on his nose, "It.... Stinks up here. What the fuck."

Nasao had the music on as she was buy doing a striptease down at the front of the bridge. "Its... hot..in here.. phew." as she threw her panties away, as she stood before the enthralled bridge crew, every last one of them stoned out of their minds. "Its wonderful in here..." and with that she began prancing around on her paws as her claws slid out of their sheaths. "I will keel you!" and with that she charged off towards the Captain's ready room.

"I see a rat-" before she ran head first into the bulkhead, and then dropped like a rock to the deck.

Teval looked at the situation in confusion, then he remembered where the smell came from, The captains Cigars

Teval looked up at the captain.

Zara snickered a bit as she watched this scene, then turned to him. "Ya know.... She's feline. You're feline. I think that situation is best handled by you."

Teval without hesitation, and saying, "We need to get to an unaffected area, Now." He grabbed Zara by the arm and led her back to the turbolift leaving the bridge.

Moni blinked as she hauled herself to her feet or rather her paws as she began prancing around the bridge, singing some song that nobody had ever heard of, as she did tucks and twirls as if she was a ballerina.

Teval tapped on his combadge, saying, "All departments report in."

First to report was the intelligence officer, Toreena Cel. "Hey uh, is someone talking to me, Uh. how does this thing wor,.. ooh, shiny bunny rabbit."

Hakaya reported in next, "Yeah whats up."

Teval asked tentatively, "Is everything alright up there."

"No, nothings wrong, What happened."

"Don't know yet."

Teval waited for the other departments to report in.

Medical checked in as the sounds of sex came over the com system. "Oh yes.... Uhh... Uh..." Siaxx's voice came over the com system. "Uh.... Oh yes..."

Meanwhile Science checked in. "Wintersnow here, My four guys and I are fine..." the Draenei officer responded. "We're getting reports of weirdness happening around the ship...?"

Teval waited for the other departments to respond, and when none came, Teval tapped the badge again, "Teval to engineering."

No response came, "Teval to ENGINEERING."

A sheepish reply came over," Um, Yes. What did we do this time."

Teval shook his head as he started to get lightheaded, "Yeah, half the damn crew is high."

"Yeah, noticed, I think there is a box of Zara's cigars burning in the ventilation system."

"Well find them," Teval said annoyed. It was then he noticed the smoke was leaking into the turbolift. Exiting the turbolift, he noticed a rat, the size of a small dog wander by. It was purple. "Did you see the big purple rat walk by," Teval commented to Zara.

"No... I saw a dog-sized tribble," Zara answered with a huge, glassy grin. "White, fluffy. Purred like your sister in Ana's arms... Mating call I think?"

"Yeah, its a tribblerat" Teval commented. He started feeling hungry, and commenting "I'm hungry," wile swaying back and forth. He then started stalking the imaginary tribble rat like a clumsy predator. The pounce didn't work out as planned, and he ended by laying on his back, staring at the ceiling, and purring ceaselessly.

Noq't was working in the ducts helping to make repairs. He smelt something in the air. "No, it couldn't be that." He thought to himself. "That stuff is way too powerful for the people and besides, it is seriously illegal." The Klingon went back to work.

"Yeah, We already got that report. If you spot it put it out." Chief Kashi replied," How is that repair going on.

"Oh yes, the repairs are almost done." Noq't reported. "I'm glad I work for the Federation. Feh dah ray shon. That is so much better than an Empire. Any body can have an Empire. The Klingons and Romulans have Empires. The Dominion is an empire even though they call it a dominion." Noq't conjectured.

"We even have different colored uniforms. That is just so...wow." Noq't opined." Noq't looked around. "This duct is such a complete mess. Somebody should report this to engineering."

"Um, you O.K. in there," Kashi inquired.

"Yeah we are just fine, somebody from engineering needs to patch this up." Noq't laughs. "Oh whoa! We are wearing the same colored shirt. That's just awesome. Wait, what did you just ask?"

Kashi just facepalmed.

Meanwhile Teval lazily tapped his combadge," Hey Ra'Vak, my buddy, whats up.

Ra'Vak couldn't summon up an answer just thinking, 'Aw fuck not you too.'

Teval then added, while batting at the air," I wanna take the rest of the day off, I think you are in charge now."

Ra'Vak simply closed the channel then said, "Computer initiate a lockdown of all affected area's and isolate the engineering and pod sections from the saucer."

Ra'vak then tapped his combage and said," Ra'Vak to all surviving departments, stay out of the saucer section until we can clear the contamination."

Meanwhile Teval stared at Zara saying, "your pretty."

Zara actually stared back at him. Her brown eyes glassy and too happy as she took Teval in. "You really are very Disney, in a cute way."

Teval just lifted one of his hands pointing it at the ceiling, and said slowly, "I'mmm dddiiisssnnneeeyyy."

"You are, Pretty Kitty," Zara began to pet him and scratch him on the ears with a relaxed sigh as she got in the floor with him.

Teval began to purr uncontrollably, and at that point his instincts completely took over.
