General Overview		Jana is usually very relaxed and calm at times, but very fiery when she is angry. She is understanding of people and treats her crew as part of her family. She usually likes to delegate the tasks so the ship can run smoothly. She usually will listen to advice and take actions according to that advice, but if she believes that the crew would be making a mistake, she will usually take what action she feels best and speak to that crewmember in private about it afterward.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Strengths: Jana is a dedicated medical officer, a dedicated mother, and a dedicated healer. Weaknesses: She gets distracted when the subject of abuse of any kind comes up. She also has a serious dislike of organized crime.
Ambitions		To be the best mother she can be, to be a good spouse to her husband and to look after her crew.

Personal History		Born in Watsonville, California on Earth. Jana was raised in a very large family of brothers. She was the middle child of five and she was considered a tomboy to a lot of people. She was always at the hospital during her childhood, recovering from many surfing injuries that she had from hitting the rocks below. When she went to the hospital, she was fascinated by the machines and the caring attitude of the doctors there so ever since then, she never went anywhere without a small medical kit in her purse. She came of age when her older brother had been involved in a gang fight near her. She hid from the gang, not wanting to get involved and when the gang left, she went up to him, seeing him bleeding. She immediately diagnosed him, having seen the doctors treat her many times and proceeded to give him a hypospray to ease the pain until the medics arrived. She stayed by his side until he awoke and cared for him as he recovered. When she came of age, she immediately went to Starfleet medical school, where she graduated near the top of her class after 8 long years of studying. she had also taken a couple of Command courses on the side, just in case she was needed on the bridge of any given ship. She came out of the Academy with the rank of Ensign and she was assigned to the USS Exeter, an older Ambassador-class starship, it was here where Dixon cut her teeth and showcased her rather unique skill set for all to see on multiple occasions, earning for herself two promotions in three years. After Dixon was promoted to Lieutenant. and was assigned to the USS Polaris as their CMO. During the Dominion War, she treated many of her crewmembers from injuries and was happy to keep the casualties low....that is until her CO and XO were killed on the bridge during a surprise Jem'Hadar attack. She had to have a very fast course in being the Acting CO of the Polaris as she avoided getting hit and shooting their way through to an opening to escape until the fleet arrived to save them. She had fought them long and hard, very narrowly missing getting hit by them and staying alive. As soon as the Polaris was able to escape, the fleet arrived to help them to safety. Starfleet had seen this valour and was recommended to serve as a CO for real. She was then assigned to her first ship as the CO, the USS Ohlone, where her adventures are going to be just the beginning for her. Dixon served as the skipper of the Ohlone for twelve years before she was reassigned along with her entire crew to serve on the USS Thunderchild. Jana realized she wanted to develop her skills in commanding battlegroups, so she had her first officer promoted and she was assigned to the USS Iron Duke as the ship's Captain.
