| Personal History | James O'Haloran was born the older of two children, his sister Gennifer followed a few years later and for the first few years, he was an only child. His mother was the Starfleet officer and his father was a simple bartender on the Galaxy Class vessel, USS Unsung. It was here that he and his sister grew up and when the time came. James followed his mother into the service. At the academy, he discovered a love of computers and his skills flourished quickly, he hacked into Earth Spacedocks mainframe to see if he could do it, he could which was a shock for him. It was a shock for everyone else too as he surprised and astonished many of his peers, even some of his teachers didn't see it coming so he simply requested more work to do, they gave James exactly what he wanted and he graduated tenth of his class in 2390 He was posted to a ship which he felt was boring as he was never given anything important to do, just the usual menial assignments that were honestly beneath someone of his caliber, he was sent to the Roanoke after he reprogrammed the ships sonic shower system to spray mud. Over six hundred people were affected by this prank so he was quietly removed and sent to the Roanoke. Since being assigned here, he has been helping to maintain the ships computer core and while h has found the work deeply satisfying, he also gets to admire Lieutenant Jiao Anderson from afar as he considers her to be quite the looker with one hot ass, this is something he considers a major bonus. O'Halloran assisted with repairs to the ship over the course of the accidental tribble infestation as well as the hanger deck fire. After the dramatic events which unfolded. O'Halloran started to wonder if there wasn't something else going on behind the scenes and so he began looking into matters that were well outside his normal duties, this caught the attention of Starfleet Intelligence who quickly realized that O'Halloran would make an excellent analyst for them so rather then have him arrested. They made him an offer, one that O'Halloran accepted with eager hands. After the destruction of the USS Roanoke over Goarnar while saving the Gorn homeworld from a long-range missile attack, O'Halloran was sent to Starbase 133 where he would assist the local intelligence unit with their efforts, he integrated well and soon became invaluable in their work efforts. He was a natural for their work and within a year he was offered a posting on the USS Tiger's Claw as their new Intelligence officer, he accepted and off he went. O'Halloran quickly found himself working with the twin sister of Jiao Anderson, a woman he had known on the USS Roanoke, he quickly found out that this woman was not Jiao and so he decided to pursue her, she was flattered at the interest but she decided to let him chase her and see where it led. |
