General Overview		Heather Xiong is a cheerful and happy woman, some would argue that she's too cheerful. She's eager to please her superiors and she is also rather pragmatic.

Personal History		Heather Xiong was born on Mars, orbiting SOL in 2363, she grew up as a happy child alongside her brother in a rather traditional household but this didn't mean she was abused or her parents were set in their ways. No her parents were very pragmatically minded and they encouraged their two children to do more of the same. Heather graduated the school system on Mars and instantly she enlisted in Starfleet. She enlisted in the fleet and was sent to Starfleet Basic Training for six months on Mars. She enlists a medical officer wanting to escape operations and be challenged by something she isn’t all that familiar with. Xiong wasn’t a star recruit at basic, but did pick up most things with ease; phaser rifles, phasers, running, climbing, EVA and zero-G movement came naturally to her. Out of all the classes it was Starfleet Nursing where she really shined. Following completion of basic training, she was sent to Starfleet Medical School for six weeks to undergo department specialization training. Medical School wasn’t too difficult, a few courses on rules and regulations, more nursing classes, instruction on driving the Argo Buggy and the use of its Type-IV Phaser Canon. Completing these she was assigned to her first ship, the USS Brandenburg. The Brandenburg is an interesting assignment and she learns plenty, especially on dealing with people, something she’d struggled with in the past. The Chief Medical Officer of the Brandenburg although believes in Xiong and pushes her to excel, even thought Xiong herself would have been happier to sit back and take it easy. Her assignment here lasted two years before she went off to the USS Kingston Upon Hull, This was the last tour for this old broken down wreck of a ship, it also didn't help that Heather Xiong usual hated the Constellation Class ships as a matter of principle. She was assigned here for one year before this ship was scrapped after being damaged in a battle with several pirates. Her next assignment was to the USS Corsair, one of the newest Akira class starships in the fleet, her differences and contrasts between this assignment and the previous one were as stark as night and day, it was like serving on a whole new generation of ship, which of course this was. She greatly enjoyed her assignment to this ship but it didn't last long as she was rotated off the ship for crew reassignments, she also wanted something a little slower so she was instead assigned to a Federation Starbase. Xiong's assignment to Starbase Nineteen was productive and interesting but it was here where her interest in dentistry also came to the fore as well. In late 2391, she was offered the chance to go over to the medical vessel, USS Tranquility as their Chief of Dentistry, she accepted and so off she went.
